AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE OFFICE OF HEALTH OFFICER, IN i THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KRIITUCKY; PRESCRIBING THE SALARY HE IS TO RECLIVE AND THE DUTIES HE IS TO PERFORM. BE IT OPDi.INED BY I?T GEI!ERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. r The Health officer who shall be chosen by the Board of Health-, of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, small perform all duties imposed upon him by the said Board of Health as Health Officer, who is to supervise the Feneral sanitation of said City; he shall give care and treatment to indigent white citizens of said City and shall establish and maintain in Riverside Hosnital a clinic which shall be onen for the treatment of patients who are unable to pay for the necessary aid end -treatment subject to such reasonable schedule of office hours as said Board of Health shall fix. SECTION 2. Said officer shall in addition to his duties asHealth Officer, attend to all cases of indigent white citizens ofsaid City which are meritorious; that is such diseased persons as have no means to provide private treatment, or as such as may be referred to him by the I°ayor of said City upon recommendation of any charitable organiza�, I tion properly certified, or upon such investigation as will convince 'I said Il:ayor as same may be properly referred for such tr•eatsent. i SECTION 3. 4 The compensation of the City Health Officer shall be ?300.00 per month and an additional allowance of ?25.00 per month pro -i vided he uses his automobile in said services. SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict Lwith this ordinance are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take', effect and be in force from and -fter its passage, approval and i. ;:publication.
