NO. 779.
VfHEREAS the City of Paducah, Kentucky by ordinance of
the General Council duly adopted January 4, 1926, authorized the
closing of Tennessee Street from the East line of the property of
it the Chicago, St. Louis and New Orleans Railroad Company where the
same crosses Tennessee Street to the 'lest line of Lot No. 12, in
jBlock "B" of ".:orten's Addition, and also other streets named in said
ordinance; and directed the City Solicitor to institute an action
II in the I.:cCracken Circuit Court for the purpose of having said street
and other streets and alleys therein named duly closed; and,

f CIhRPEi_S said suit was duly instituted in the L.cCraeken
Circuit Court and presecuted to a ,judgment, which authorized the
closing of Tennessee Street and the other streets and alleys therein
named; and,

7HEREj,S the Illinois Central Railroad Company has
reached a point in the construction of its mechanical buildings and
grounds that makes necessary the closing of Tennessee Street for such
purposes.
BE IT RESOLVED BY ME GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

That Tennessee Street from the Easterly line of the

Chicago, St. Louis and New Orleans Railroad Companyf line (.hick

Street) to the ',`•est line of Lot x/12, in Block "B" of .orten's Additio:,
be, and the same is hereby ordered closed, subject to the right of th
Paducah '..ater Company to remove such portions of its water mains as
it may desire to remove.
