STREET, AND ADJACEFT TO TIIE PROPE4TY OF T. J. NIX, AND ABOUT 85 FEET Otd
THE WEST SIDE: OF SAID STREET, ADJaCENT TO THE. PROPERTY OF THE BOARD OF
EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY SOLICITOR TO INSTITUTE AN PCTION IN THE McCRnCKEN CIRCUIT COURT FOR j
THE PUPPOSE OF HAVING SAID STREET CLOSED. i
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PA DUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That 21st Street as the same now stands and is open, being
a strip of ground 60 feet in width on the South side of the Hinkleville
Road, and extending in a Southerly direction about 226 feet on the East
side of said Street, adjacent to the property of T. J, Nix and about 85
feet on the Pest side of said street, adjacent to the property of the
Board of Education of the City of Paducah, be, and the same is hereby
abandoned and closed.
SECTION' 2.

The City Solicitor is hereby authmrized and directed to
institute an action in the LcCracken Circuit Court for the purpose of having
said street closed, and to take all necessary legal steps to carry into

effect this ordinance; provided the Board of Education of said City shall
execute and deliver to the City of Paducah a deed of dedication for the
extension of 21st Street from the line of a 15 foot alley South of the
prooerty of said Board of Education to the Hinkleville Road, in accor•danc
with plat that has been prepared by the City Engineer, designed for
straightening and beautifying said street by relieving the sharp turn or
angle that now exists in said street.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage, approval and publication'.1-r-.-
