. COLLECTOR; FIXING HIS COMPENSATION THEREFOR AND ALSO THE; BOND TO FE
EXECUTED BY HIP;:; AND PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES ATTACHED THERITO", ADOPT
RY THE GENERi,L COUNTCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, FEBRUARY 9TH, 1925, BY
ADDING THEFFTO SECTIONS 5, 6 and 7 HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KEYTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That an ordinance, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING
THE CITY SOLICITOR TO ACT .-:S DELINCUE:NT TAX COLLECTOR; FIXING EIS

COMPENSATION THEREFOR AND sLSO THE BOND TO BE EXP37TED BY HPf.; AND
r PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES ATTACHED THERETO," adopted by the General
Council of the City of Paducah, February,9th, 1925, be and the same i
hereby amended by adding thereto Sections 5,6 and 7 as follows:

SECTION 5.
For the purpose of determining the commission of the
Delinquent Tax Collector, it is now provided that as between said
it
Tax Collector and the City, any taxes paid prior to January 1st, of
the year following- delinquency of any City taxes shall not be charre-
able with any commission in favor of said Delinquent Tax Collector.
That the commission of Tax Collector shall attach only to the delinquj
taxes coliected after January first following the delinquency.
SECTION_ 6.
I
In order to provide assistance for the collection of
delinquent poll taxes and property taxes not in access to 15.00, the
Delinquent Tax Collector shall receive an amount equal to 50% of each
I! tax collected, and report thereof shall be made at the end of each
month, or as the City Auditor may require.

SECTION 7.
In order to provide assistance for the collection
of delinquent motor vehicles license taxes, the Delinquent Tax Collector
Vshall receive an amount equal to 50% of all of such taxes collected.
But no motor vehicle license taxes shall be deemed delinquent for q o the
li nurpose of collection by the Delinquent Tax Collector until the License
Inspector shall have exhausted his efforts and the uncollected motor

vehicle tax bills shall have been turned over to the said Delinquent
Tax Colleetor for collection by order of the General Council. So
that, said ordinance as amended shall read as follows:

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE: GENERBL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KHMICKY.
SECTION 1.OM
That pursuant to Section 3188 of the Yentucky Statutes,
being, a portion of the charter of cities of the second class, the City
Solicitor is hereby authorized to act as Delinquent Tax Collector.
SECTION 2.
As such Delinquent Tax Collector he shall execute bond
��in the sum of $2000.00 for the faithful discharge of his duties, -nd for
his faithful payment and delivery to the City Treasurer of all delincuent
(taxes collected by him.
As such Delinquent Tax Collector he shall have all
the powers for the collection of delincuent taxes conferred by charter of
cities of second class upon the Treasurer, except deeds .Cor sane. He shall
make monthly reports to the Auditor of all collections, giving to him a
duplicate receipt from the Treasurer for the collections, anti shall make
settlement with the Auditor whenever called upon so to do.
SECTION 4.
As such Delinquent Tax Collector he shall receive a
compensation kfor his gervices 15% on the first $300.00 and 80 on any a.un
in excess thereof on each delinquent tax bill that may be collected by him[
SECTION 5.
For the purpose of determining the commission of the
Delinquent Tax Collector, it is now provided that an between said Tax
Collector and the City, nny taxes paid prior to January 1st, of the year
following delinquency of any city taxes shall not be chargeable with any
commission in favor of said Delinquent Tax Collector. That the commission
of Tax Collector shall attach only to delir,ouent taxes collected after
January first followinr� the delinquency.

SECTION 6.

ShCTION 7.
In order to provide assistance for the collection of
delinquent motor vehicles license taxes, the Delinquent Tax Collector
shall receive an amount equal to 50% of all of such taxes collected,
but no motor vehicle license 'taxes shall be deemed delinouent for
the purpose of collection by the Delinquent Tax Collector until the
License Inspector shall have exhausted his efforts and the uncollected
motor vehicle tar, bills shall have been turned over to said Delincuent
Tax Collector for collection by order of the General Council.
SECTION B.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage, approval and publication.
