AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT IT IS DEWEIED DESIRABLE TO ANNEX
TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY, AND
SETTING OUT THE BOUNDARIES OF SUCH UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY, AND PROPOSING,
TO ANNEX THE SAME TO THE CITY OF PADUC,1H, KENTUCKY, AND PROVIDING THAT
SUCH ANNEXATION IS DEMANDED BY PUBLIC NECESSITY, AND PROVIDING FOR TIID;
DUE AND L11111FUL PUBLICvTION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
Kentucky:
Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah,
SECTION 1. That it is deemed desirable to annex to the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, certain unincorporated territory adjoining the said
City; that public necessity demands the annexation of the same, -nd tha't
it is hereby proposed to annex the same, and that the boundaries of the
unincorporated territory so proposed to be annexed are as follows:
Beginning at a point where the East property line of
Mill Street, if extended, intersects the low water mark
of the Tennessee River on its South bank; running thence
with the low water mark of the Tennessee River 700 feet to
the '";est line of Koerner Street, if extended; thence S. 28
degrees 50 minutes !"lest and with the '.lest property line of
Koerner Street a distance of approximately 720' to a point
approximately 500' Porth of the North property line of Boone
Ave. and approximately 650.7' from the east property line of
Mill Street; thence South 61 deg. 53 min. east along a line,
said line being 300' North of the North property line of Boone
Ave., to Scott's line, said line being also the East line of
Vaughn's Addition, a distance of apnroximately 10501; thence
South 10 deg. 29 min. east with Scott's line, a distance of
apnroximately 2600' to a point approximately 1501 South of the
South property line of Division Street; thence North 61 deg.
591 min. West along a line, said line being approximately
150' South of the South property line of Division Street, a
distance of arnroximately 520' to the %,'est property line
of a 15' alley, said point on alley being approximately 142.41
east of the East property line of Bethel Street; thence South
28 deg. 24 min. West along the West property line of alley,
crossing the Benton Road, a distance of approximately 1300,
to the North right of way line of the I. C. R. R.; thence North
65 deg. 522 min. West with the North right of way line of the
I. C. R. R. a distance of approximately 1530' to a point
apnroximately 160' east of the east property line of the Husbands
Road; thence South 10 deg. 571 min. '..'est along a line, s aid
line being approximately 160' East of the East property line
of the Husbands Road, a distance of apnroximately 2030' to
a point approximately 160' South of the South property line
of Lydon Avenue; thence North 79 deg. 2B min. West along a line,
said line being approximately 160' south of the South property
line of Lydon Ave. a distance of apnroximately 25061 to a point
approximately 160' east of the east property line of Vasseur
Ave., if extended; thence South 10 deg. 542 min. West, a
distance 6f approximately 2351 to a point, said point being
approximately 410' South of the center line of Lydon Ave.,if
extended; thence North 79 deg. 28 min. 11est along a line,
said line being apnroximately 410' south of the center line
of Lydon Ave., if extended, crossing Island Creek to, and I
joining the North property line of a 30' road, a distance of

the North property line of said road, if extended, a distance
of approximately 4925.5 to the East line of Utterback & Bell
Addition; thence South 1 deg. 31 Min. ',Pest, a distance of
approximately 39' to the North right of way line of the F.& I.R.R.;
thence with the North right of way line of the P. & I. R. R. in
a Westerly direction, a distance of approximately 6700' to a
point apnroximately 534' South of the South property line of
Jackson Street; thence South 58 deg. 59 min. West along a line,
said line being approximately 534' South of the South property
line of Jackson Street, a distance of approximately 13001; thence
South 69 deg. 4911: min. West along a line, said line continuing
apnroximately 534' South of the South property line of Jackson
Street, a distance of apnroximbtely 700' to a point approximately
534' East of the East property line of the Lone Oak Road;

said line intersects the center of the block lyrrng between
Hayden and Holland Avenues, if said center line were
extended; thence South 17 deg. 33 min. hest along a line,
said line being the center of the block lying between Hayden
and Holland Avenues, if extended, and being approximately
534.7' East of the East property line of the Lone Oak Road,
a distance of approximately 1400' crossing the Berger Road,
to a point where said line would intersect a line extended
from the center of the block lying between Chestnut and
Walnut Strects; thence along a line, said line being the
center of the block lying between Chestnut and walnut Streets,
if extended, a distance of approximately 1570' to the West
line of L. D. Sanders Arcadia Sub -division; thence South
27 deg. 27 min. West along Sanders '.Vest line a distance
of approximately 150' to the line dividing Lots No. 8 & 9 in
property; thence in a north westerly

of approximately 640+ to the South property line of the
Blandville Road; thence crossing the Blandville Road
diagonally to a point on the North property 19une of the
Blandville Road, said point being on the dividing line
between the lands of Henry and Katherine Beyer, a distance

the line dividing the lands of Henry and Katherin Beyer,
a distance of approximately 6101; thence North 38 deg.

the north property line of a 20' alley lying between
39th and 40th Streets intersects the west property line of
the Buckner Lane Road; thence in a westerly direction along
the North property line of said 209 alley, ca distance of

Central Avenue; thence in a straight line in a N®rtherly
direction along the west line of South central Avenue as
shown on the Plat of the Gregory Heights Company or Avondale
Heights Company, as recorded in Plat Book "A", pages
118-119, McCracken County Court Clerks Office approximately,
750 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 20 in Block "L"; j
thence still in a straight lire in a Northerly direction
along the 'Nest line of South Central Avenue, if extended,
approximately 350 feet to the West line of Central Avenue,
if extended, in a straight line to a point in Heights Park,
thence with the Northwest line of Central Avenue if ex-
tended, approximately 150 feet to the Northeast fine of
37th Street, if extended, being a point in Heights Park
100 feet at right angles from the North line of Lot 13 !

direction away from the Ohio River along the lines of the pre-
sent City Limits and following the present City Limits
continuously with its various courses and distances to the
point of beginning, :The present:City limits just referred
to in the last call are those provided for by ordinance
adopted November 26th, 1894, approved November 28, 1894,
signed by W. H. Patterson, Clerk of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, and D. A. Yeiser, Pdayor of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, as recorded in the then Current Book of Publication
of ordinances of the City of Paducah at Page 74, and as
referred to and adopted in the then current minute book of
the City Council of Paducah, Kentucky, of the year 1894 at
Page 457; and further by ordinance published and effective
June 2C, 1925, and recorded in the then Current Ordinance
Book at page 451; and further by ordinance published and
effective on September 25, 1926, as recorded in the then
Current Ordinance Book of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
at page 727.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be published
in at least ten issues of the Official Newspaper of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, within less than thirty days of the enactment of this ordinance..
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage, approval and publication.
