WHEREAS the amount set apart in the 1926 apportionment
ordinance for the sewers is not sufficient to provide for maintenance
and current claims charged against such department, and to provide

for the cost of relocating Island Creek sewer; and,
WHEREAS the Koller Plumbing Company has been allowed for
payyment its claim for $6,065.77 to cover Estimate Jf2, for Island
I
Creek sewer construction, and other claims for such construction will
become due from time to time until said construction is completed;
and,
WHEREAS the City will receive by way of refund to specia
jsewer fund on account advances heretofore made, in the construction
of sewers in Zon® #4, about $12,000.00, and will also receive by way
i
of refund for and on account of advances made in the construction of
the trunk line sewers made from proceeds of bond issue about
$11,000.00, which is properly available to the replacement of said
trunk line sewer on Island Creek; and will also receive other small)

refunds for advancements made for sewer construction:
I move that the b7avor and City Treasurer be authorized

to borrow from any Bank or Banks in the City of Paducah such amounts
as may be necessary, to meet the payment of said claims in favor of
the Koller Plumbing Company, and that theyvbe authorized to execute
nmte or notes for said loans aggregating; about 518,000.00, and to j
pledge as security therefor said refund of sewer taxes payable as
the result of advances heretofore made by the City for said
departments, said loan not to exceed 6% interest, and that said refunds
� be placed in a special sewer fund, designated as the Island creak i
Relocation fund, for the payment of said loan or loans.
