YEnR P DIEIIT PL!kN, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P- DUCAHJ KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That 24th Street, from the north property line of Jefferson Street to the South property line of Monroe Street, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be improved by the construction of concrete gutters, and curbs of either concrete or granite, according to the bid accepted, together with all necessary man -holes, intakes, catch basins and sewer pipe connec- tions, in accordance with the plans and specifications provided therefor by the City Lngineer, and which are on file in the office of said Engineer, and are now referred to and made part hereof as if specifically set forth herein. SECTION 2. Said construction shall be made under the direction and supervision of the City Engineer and Board of Public Works of said City, and shall commence at the time designated by contract for the performance thereof and be completed on or before December 10th, 1926. SECTION 3, The cost of such construction shall be paid for wholly by the property owners fronting or abutting thereon, to be apportioned to end assessed against the property and property owners abutting thereon, accordin, to the number of abutting feet thereon, except that portion to be paid by the City of Paducah, as required by law. SECTION 4. �. . ;�,_The contractor awarded the contract .for the improvement i herein provided for, shall be paid in accordance k%itn the terms and pro -'I visions of Sections 3096, 3100; 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statute S. I SECTION 5, i The Mayor of said City is hereby authorized and directed to execute contract and accept bond required to be executed by the contractor. N awarded the contract for such construction. SECTION 6. Bids shall be received for the improvement herein provided) for, in accordance with the plans and specifications made and -provided ;therefor by the City Engineer, and the contract therefor shall be awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is reserved to reject any end all bids within the discretion of the General Council, and it may accept any bid which appears to be for the best interest of said City. SECTION 7. The Board of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the construction of said improvement and to make report of same to the General Council, together with its i recommendation for the acceptance of any of said bids, or the re,jectio of all of same.
