KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That Clay Street from the west property line of 9th .Street
to the crest property line of 10th Street; 10th 3tre t from the north
nroperty line of Clay Street to tie north property line of Trimble
Street, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be improved by the construction
of a hard surface road -;ray, together with all necessary man -holes, intakes,
catch basins and sewer pipe connections, in accordance with the plans
and specifications provided therefor by the City Engineer, and which
i
plans and specifications are on file in the office- of the City Engineer,
and are not; referred to and made part hereof as if specifically set
forth herein.
SECTION 2.
Said construction shall be made under the direction 4nd
supervision of the City Engineer and the Board of Public '"forks of said
City, and shall commence at the time designated by contract for the i
performance thereof and be completed on or before December 10, 1926.
SECTION 3.
The cost of such construction shall be paid for '.;holly byl
the property owners fronting or abutting thereon, to be apportioned to
and assessed against the property and property owners abutting thereon,
according; to the number of abutting feet, except that portion to be
paid by the City of Paducah as required by lair.
SP;CTION 4.

The contractor awarded the c,,ntract for the icnprovement
herein provided for shall be paid in accordance with the terms and I
provisions of Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes.

SECTION 5.
The Mayor of said City is hereby authorized and directed to
execute contract rind accept bond required to be executed by the con-
tractor awarded the contract for such improvement.
SECTIO\ 6.
Bids shall be received for the improvement herein provided
for, in accordance with the plans and specifications made and provide
therefor by the City Engineer, anal the contract therefor shall be
awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right :is expressly
reserved to reject any and all bids within the 'iiscretion of the
General Council, and said General Council may accept any bid which
appears to be for the best interest of said City.
SLC4IOid 7.
The Board of Public Works is hereby authorized and
directed to advertise for bids for the construction of said improve, t,
and to make report of sane to the General Council, 'together with its
recommendation for the acceptance of any of same or the rejection of
all of same.
SECTION S.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after passage, approval end publication.
