SPECIFICATIONS PROVIDED THEREFOR BY THE CITY ENGINEER, AT THE COST OF THE
ABUTTING PROPERTY O'YNERS, AND PROVIDING THAT TH•; COST OF SITUH CONSTRUCTIOTI
MAY RE PAID IN ACCORDANCE '..ITH THE PROVISIONS OF I'iIN' TEN YEAR PAY11ENT PLAN.
!NHEREAS a resolution has been adopted by the General Council
of said City, wherein it is declared to be a necessity that 22nd Street,
from the south property line of Kentucky Avenue, to the north property
line of Clark Street, in the City of Paducah, be improved by grading and
graveling; and,
','MEREAS it is now deemed advisable to eliminate for the
present the portion of said improvement extending from the south property .
line of 1.7ashington Street to the north property line of Ulark Street, NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That 22nd Street from the south property line of Kentucky
Avenue to the south property line of �,ashington Street, in the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be improved by the grading and graveling of same,
together with all necessary man -holes, intakes, catch basins and sewer
pipe connections, in accordance with the plans and specifications provi
therefor by the City Engineer, and which plans and specifications will
appear on file in the office of said Engineer, and are now referred to
and made part hereof as if specifically set forth herein.
SECTION 2.
Said construction shall be made under the direction and
supervision of the City Engineer and the Board of Public '3orks of said

City, and shall commence at the time designated by contract .for the
performance thereof and be completed on or before'December 10th, 1926.
SECTION 3.
The cost of such construction shall be paid for ,jholly
by the property owners fronting or abutting thereon, to be apportioned to
j' and assessed against the property and property owners abutting thereon,
accordinS to,the number of abutting feet, except that portion to be paid
by the City of Paducah as required by law:
No. 703.
SECTION 4.
The contractor awarded the contract for the improvement
herein provided for shall be paid in accordance 'with the terms and
provisions of Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky
Statutes.
SECTION 5.
The I„ayor of said City is hereby authorized and
directed to execute contract and :.ccept bond required to be executed
by the contractor awarded the contract for such improvement.
SECTION 6.
Bids shall be received for the imrpovement herein
provided for in accordance with the plans and specifications made and-
prodided therefor by the City Engineer, and the contract therefor shall
be awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is expressly
reserved to reject any and all bids within the discretion of the
General Council, and said General Council may accept any bid which
appears to be for the best interest of said City.
SECTION 7.

The Board of Public Works is hereby authorized
and directed to advertise for bids for the c -construction of
such improvements, and to make report of same to the General Council;
together with its recommendation for the acceptance of any of same or the
rejection of all of saipe.
SECTION 8.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force I
from and after its passage, approval and publication.
