GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CI'PY OF PADUCAII BE IT ORDAINED BY THE N L , KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Coxey Street from the crest property line of Lincoln Street to the east nroperty line of Chicago, St. Louis and New Orleans Railroad Company; Twenty-fourth Street from the North property line) of the Hinkleville Road to the south property line of Mildred Street) in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be improved by the grading and graveling of same, together with all necessary man -holes, intakes, catch basins, and seeder pipe connections, in accordance witil the plans and specifications provided therefor by the City Engineer, and which plans and specifications will appear on file in the office of the City Engineer, and are nolo referred to and made part hereof as i� specifically set forth herein. SECTION 2. Said construction shall be made under the direction and supervision of the City Engineer and the Board of Public Works of said City, and shall commence at the time designated by contract for the, performance thereof and be completed on or before December 10th, 1926. SECTION 3. The cost of such constwuction shall be paid for gdiolly.`.`' by the property owners fronting or abuttin; thereon, to be apportioned to and assessed against the property and property owners abutting there- on, according to the number of abutting feet, except that p.gtrtion tol be paid by the City of Paducah as required by law.' NO. 696. SECTIOII 4. The contractor awarded the contract for the improvement herein provided for shall be paid in accordance with the terms and pro- visions of Section 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes. SECTION 5. The mayor of said City is hereby authorized and directed to execute contract and accept bond required to be executed by the con- tractor awarded the contract for such improvement. SECTION 6. 'aids shall be received for the improvement herein provided for, in accordance with the plans and specifications made and provided therefor b,r the City Engineer, ttnd the contract therefor shall be awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is expressly reserved to reject any and all bids within the discretion of the General Council, and said General Council may accept any bid which appears to be for the best interest of the City. SECTION 7. The Board of Public '.orks is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the construction of said improvement, and to make report of same to the General Council, together with its recommendation for the acceptance of any of same. or the rejection of all of same. SECTION S. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from u after its passage, approval and publication.
