BE IT ORDikINF'D BY THE GEIdERiiL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the following named streets in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to-wmt: Both sides of 22nd Street from the north property line of the Hinkleville Road to the south nroperty line of Mildred Street; Both sides of 23rd Street from the north property line of the Hinkleville Road to the South property line of 1,1ildred Street; and the Hinkleville Road from the ':gest property line of 20th Street to the S'rest side of 24th Street, be improved by the construction of coneret gutters and curbs, either of concrete or granite, according to the bid accepted, to7etner with all necessary man -holes, intakes, catch basins and sewer pipe connections, in accordance with the plans and speci.ficati provided therefor by the City Engineer, and which plans and specificatio appear on file in the office of said City Engineer, and are now referred to and made a pant hereof as if specifically set forth herein. SECTION 2. Said construction shall be made under the direction and supervision of the City Engineer and Board of Public Clorks of said City, and shall commence at the time designated by contract for the performance thereof, and be completed on or before December 10th, 1926. n r NO'. 669. SECTION 3. The cost of such construction shall be raid for wholly by IIthe property holders fronting; or ubu;ting thereon, to be apportioned iIto :nd _ssessed against the property and property owners abutting thereon, according to the number of abutting feet thereon, extent tha i portion to be paid by the City of Paducah, as required by law. �i SECTION 4. i The Contractor awarded the contract for the improvement hereii provided for, shall be paid in accordance with the terms end provisioi of Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 ynd 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes. SECTION 5. The Mayor of said City is hereby authorized and directed to execute contract acid accept bond required to be executed by the contractor awarded the contract for such construction. SECTIOI4 6. Bids shall be received for the improvement herein provided for, in accordance with the plans and specifications made and provided I therefor by the City Engineer, and the contract therefor shall be awarded to the lornest and best bidder, except the right is reserved to reject any and all bids aitnin the discretion of the General CouncijL, and it may accept any bid which appears to be for the best interest of, said City. SECTION 7. The Board of Public L;orks is hereby aut'norized and directed lto advertise for bids for the construction of said improvement, and Ito make report of same to the General Council, together with its i recommendation for the acceptance of any of said bids, or the rejection 'of all of same.
