SECTION 1. a
That the following named streets, located in the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, to -wit:
On both sides of 12th Street from the west Property
!.line of Ellis Street, except that portion of about 80 lineal feet
which has heretofore been constructed, to the east curb line of Palm
Street; on the south side of 12th street from the east curb line of
NO. 684.
Salem avenue to the East curb line of Palm Street; on both sides of
Hampton Avenue from'the south property line of 12th Street to the north

property line of 13th Street; on both sides of Salem Avenue from the
South property line of 12th Street to the north property line of 13th Street;
on the south side of the Hinkleville Road from the west property line of
Fountain Avenue (or 17th Street),to the east property line of 22nd Street,
as extended from the Glenwood Addition; bn both sides of Boyd Street from
the south property line of 8th Street to the North
Property line of 10th

Street; on the .Nest side of Boyd Street from the south property line of
10th Street to the north property line of T-rimble Street; on the cast
side of Boyd Street from the south property line of 10th Street to a point
where the east line of Boyd Street intersects the North line of an alley
which runs parallel to Trin.ble Street; on both sides of Harrison Street
from the west curb line of 19th Street to the east property line of 21st
Street, extended; on both silos of 21st Street from the North curb line of
Madison Street to the South Property line of Trimble Street, with the
exception of the Northeast corner of the intersection of 21st Street and
Clay Street which has heretofore been constructed; on both sides of 21st
Street from the north property line of Jefferson Street to the south curbi
line of Monroe Street; on both sides of 24th Street from the north propepty
line of the Hinkleville Road to the south property line of Mildred Street
on both sides of Flournoy Street from the south property line of 12th Stieet
to the north property line of 13th Street, be improved by the constructio
of concrete side walks and gutters, and curbs either of concrete or grani�e,
accoLlding to the bid accepted, together with all necessary man -holes,
intakes, catch basins, sewer pipe connections and driveways, in accordant
with the plans and snecifications provided therefor by the City Engineer,
at the cost of the abutting property owners, and providing that the cost
of such construction may be paid in accordance with the provisions of the
ten ,year payment plan,

SECTION 2.
Said construction shalt be made under the direction
and supervision of the City Engineer and the Board of Public l9orks of 9 a
City, and shall commence at the time designated by contract for the per-
formance thereof, and be completed on or before December 10th, 1926,
SECTION 3.
The cost of such construction shall be paid for wholly)
by the property holders fronting or abutting thereon, to be apportioned

to and assessed agkinst the property and property owners abutting; thereon,
according to the number of abutting feet thereon, except that portion to
paid by the City of Paducah, as required by law.

SECTION 4.
The contractor awarded the contract for the improvement
herein provided for, shall be paid in accordance with the terms and
provisions of Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the :Kentucky
Statutes.
SECTION 5.
The lriayor of said pity is hereby authorized and directed
to execute contract and accept bond required to be executed by the
contractor awarded the contract for such construction.

SECTION 6.

Birds shall be received for the ii-nrovement herein provide:
for, in accordance with the plans and specifications made and provide
therefor by the City Engineer, and the contract therefor shall he
awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is reserved
to reject any and all bids within the discretion of the General

Council, and it may accept any bid which appears to be for the best
I� interest of said City.

SECTION 7.
The Board of public 3orks is nereby authorized and
directed to advertise for bids for the construction of said improveme
and to make report of same to the General Council, together with its
recommendation for the acceptance of any of said bids, or the re,jecti
of all of same.
SECTION B.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage, approval and publication.
