BE IT ORDAI14ED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That Clements from the North property line of Bridge
Street to the '=youth property line of I.Ieyers Street, in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be ir:proved by the consturuction of a hard surface road -way,
together with .11 necessary man -holes, intakes, sewer and drain pipes and:
drive -ways, in accordance with the plans and specifications provided there-
for by the City Engineer, and which plans and specifications will appear
on file in the office of said isngineer, and are now referred to and made
part hereof as if specifically set forth herein.
SECTION 2.
Said construction shall be made under she direction and
supervision of the City Engineer and Board of Public •-orks of said City,
and shall commence at the time designated by contract for the performance
thereof and be completed on or before December 1, 1926.
SECTION 3.
The cost of such construction shall be paid for wholly)
1 by the property owners fronting or abutting thereon, to be apportioned to
and assessed against the property and the property owners abutting thereon,

according to the number of abutting feet thereon, except that portion to
be paid by the City of Paducah as required by law.
j SECTIOP7 4.

The contractor awarded the contract for the improvemen
herein provided for shall be paid in accordance with the terms and provisilons
of Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTION 5.
The Mayor of said City is hereby authorized and directed
to execute contract and accept bond required to be executed by the contractor
awarded the contract Cor such construction.

Bids shall be received for the improvement herein provided
for, in accordance with the plans and specifications made and provide
therefor by the Cite Engineer, and the contract therefor shall be
awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is reserved
to reject any and .11 bids within the discretion of the General Council,

and it may accept any bid which appears to be for the best interest of
�I said City,
SECTION 7.
i
The Board of Public �rorks is hereby authorized to advertise
for bids for the construction of said improvement, and to make report
of same to the General Council, together wit.,i its recommendation for
the acceptance of any of same, or the rejection of all of same.
SECTION G.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its pa3sa7e, approval and publication.
