AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF A BOARD OF
REALTY AND IMPROV0,4ENT EVALUATION IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF THE ME11BER5 OF SAID BOARD, AND FIXING THEIR
COMPENSATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF TIME CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.:
I SECTION 1.

That a Board of Realty and Improvement Evaluation, in the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, consisting of three members be, and the
same is hereby created.
SECTION 2,

The members of said Board shall possess the same qualifi-
cations required for membership on the Board of Equalization in said
City, and before entering upon the discharge of their duties, the
members of said Board shall be required to take the same oath that
members of the Board of Equalization are required to take.
SECTION 3.
It shall be the duty of the Board to ascertain and determine
from actual inspection the value of all buildings and lots, structures'
and improvements in said City, and to prepare in proper form record
thereof which, when c-ompleted, shall be signed and certified to the
Board of Equalization, and thereupon said report shall be and become
a public record of said City.
SECTION 4.
The members of said Board shall be elected by the General
Council after the enactment of this ordinance. The members of said
'Board shall hold office for a period of sixty days unless upon re -
!commendation of the Mlayor, fuother time is granted by the General
Council for the performance of their duties as required and contem-
plated by the provisions of this ordinance. In the event of the
vacancy by death, resignation or otherwise in the membership of said
Board, such vacancy shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor with
approval of the General Council.
SECTION
The members of said Boerd shall receive as compensation
for their services the sum of $5.00 per day, payable monthly on the
regular monthly pay day.
NO. 612.
SECTION 6.
Membership on the Board hereby created shall not thereby dis-
qualify any or all of said members for appointment on the Board of
Equalization of said City.
SECTION 7.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage, approval and publication.
