$10,000.00 FROT1 R. H. NOBLE, A CITIZEN OF THE CITY OF PADUC:I[.
WHEREAS the following proposal has been made to the Board of
Park Commissioners by R. H. Noble, to -wit:
"To The Honorable Councilmen and Aldermen of the City of
Paducah.
Gentlemen:
I hereby agree to donate Ten Thousand Dollars
through the Park Board of the City of Paducah for certain improvement
l on what is known as Forest Park, in the following xray, namely: For
i
a fence around the Park, an entrance to the Park, and if there is any
money left after these improvements are made, then a fountain or band
stand or both are to be installed. It is understood that after these
improvements are made that if there is still some money left from .,,i-
donation,
.,;donation, other improvements are to be made under my directions or
the remainder of the money returned to me.
It is understood that plans are to be drawn by an

architect for these improvements. That the Park shall be named the
R. H. Noble Park, and it shall remain under this name so lona; as it
is used as a nark. When plans are drawn, contracts let and approved,
I then agree to issue my check for each separate contract when approve
by me for the amount of the contract, provided the contracts in the
aggregate do not exceed my above specified donation.
This donation is made only with the understanding
that the City of Paduc,ah also gives Ten Thousand to the Par:: Board

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY CHS; GENERAL
COUNCIL 01" THA' CITY OF P:!DUC,Oi, KENTUCKY: i
That the Board of Park Commissioners of said
;City be, and trey are hereby authorized and directed to make the
j�improvements on Forest Park hereinabove mentioned, in order to make
i
available for acceptance a gift of 4210,000.00 :from i. H. Noble, of
!'Paducah, Kentucky, that said Park Board be authorized to make said
iu:proveicents in order to accept said gift in accordance with the teras
of said proposal.

Said Board of Park Commissioners are further authorized to
change the name of said Park so that the same shall be named and known
perpetually as the H. H. Noble Park, which name is hereby accepted and
fully authorized as a part of the consideration of said donation.

This Resolution shall be effective .from and after its passadle,
approval and publication.
