PAPMAI, KENTUCKY.
SECTION 1.
That there is hereby created the office of plumbing and
sewer inspector in the City of Paducah. No one shall be eligible to
hold said. office who is not a practical and experienced plumber.
SECTION 2.
It shall be the duty of said officer to inspect all se'�j
age connections and plumbing in the; City of ?aducah, and supervise
the cleaning of public sewers. He shall keep a complete record on
file in his office of all connections vrith the sanitary and storm
water sewers of said City, rhich record shall be subject to public
I
inspection under reasonable rules and regulations provided therefor.
It shall be the duty of said officer to issue permits to plumbers,
upon the receipt of %X2.00 for each permit, covering which an accurat
it
account shall be kept and report thereof filed monthly with the Gene
i; Council; and to supervise and inspect the installation of all
plumbing and sewer connections, so as to see that same is done in
accordance with the provi ilon,3 of the plumbing or -finance of said
City.
SECTION 3.
Said officer shall be appointed by the !.favor for the
term of one year,. subject to the approval of the General Council, andl
may be removed at any time for inefficiency or misconduct in office.

In the event of any charge of inefficiency or misconduct in said
office, hearing of such charge s --,all be had before the Board of
Alder en of saii City, and their conclusions and recommendations sha'_1
be final; and the Mayor shall be guided by such recommendations in
the removal of such officer.
SECTION 4.
Said officer shall keep and maintain his office in

the office of the City Engineer, or in such ot-ier place as may be
provided by said City, and shall be under the supervision of the Cl.ttrl
Engineer and the Health Officer of said City. Receipts from all
permits shall be paid into the office of City Treasurer.
SECTION 5.
Said officer shall receive as compensation for his services
the sum of $175.00 per month, payable semi-monthly on the regular pay-
roll.

Are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect from anI after
