AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE R'.,ILROltD
CRO SSING OF THE NASHVILLE, CHATTANOOGA & ST. LOUIS R,.ILROAD COMPANY,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL, COUNCIL OP THd CITY OF P DUCAH�
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That for the protection of life and property the Nashville,
Chattanooga & St. Louis Railroad Company, its successors or losses, is
hereby required to protect, the railroad crossing, where the street car
line crosses the track of said Railroad Company, on Caldwell Street, near
the Union Station, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, which said Railroad
Company shall provide and maintain at its own expense. Keeping and
maintaining a flagman on the ground at said crossing, when provided with
automatic bells, automatic flash lights or the so called wig -wag signals
shall be considered compliance herevrith; and the safety gates and tower
now operated by the said Railroad Company at said point may be abandoned

for t -,e adoption of protection by watchmen as herein provided.
SECTION 2.
Any violation of this Ordinance is hereby declared a misdemean<
and a fine of not less than $25.00 nor more than X100.00 shall be imposed
for any violation hereof, and each day shall be considered a separate
offense.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances, in conflict herewith
!are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take effdct and be in force
