THEREFOR BY THE CITY ENGINEER OF SAID CITY AT THE COST OF T11r; ABUTT

THE TEN YEAR PdYTIIENT PLAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF T11E CITY OF
PADUCAH, KEE'PUCKY:
;SECTION 1:
That concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, together
with all necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins, driveways and
sewer pipe connections be constructed on both sides of Flournoy
Street, from the east property line of 13th Street to the west
property line of 12th Street, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, in
accordance with the plans and specifications provided therefor by
City Engineer of said City, and which plans and specifications are
on file in the office of the said Uity Engineer, and are hereby
referred to and made part hereof as if specifically set forth here

SECTION 2
Said improvement shall be made under the direction
and supervision of the City engineer and the Board of Public 17orks
of s&id City, and shall be commenced at the time designated by

contract for the performance thereof and completed on or before
December,lst, 1925.
SECTION 3
The cost of such construction shall be paid for
wholly by the property owners fronting or abutting thereon, to be
apportioned and assessed agri,nst the property and property owners
abutting thereon according to the number of aoutting feet, -except
that portion, if any, to be Paid by the City of Paducah as required
by law.

The contractor awarded the conte --act for the
work herein pl-ovided shall be paid in accordance with the provisions
of Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes.

SECTION 5 :
The Mayor of said City is hereby authorized and directed to
execute written contract required of the successful bidder for the
constructions of said improvements; also to approve the construction
bond required of the contractor.
SECTION 6
Bids shall be received for the improvement herein provided
for, in accordance with the plans and specifications and profile
furnished by the City Engineer of said City, and the contract therefor
shall be awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is
expressly reserved to reject any and all bids within the discretion of
the General council, and said General Council may accept any bid which
appears to be for the best interest of said City.

The Board of Public tiJorks is hereby authorized and directed
to advertise for bids for the construction of said improvements, which
bids said Board will report to the General Council, to7e1ther with its
recommendation for the acceptance of any of same or the rejection of all
of same. I
SECTION 8 :
I
This ordinance sgall.take effect and be in force '£rom its
passage, approval and publication.
