STREET FAIRS, PROVIDING A LICENSE THEREFOR AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY
FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PAID CAH, KENTUCKY.
SECTION 1.
That whenever any person or persons shall desire to hold

or conduct a carnival or street fair, such person or persons shall
first apply to the General Council of the "ity of Paducah by written

application for a license, which application shall set forth the name
and the residence address of the person•applying therefor, and give
the location where such carnival or street fair is proposed to be

conducted, and shall be signed by at least seven free -holders residini
I
in the vicinity, and shall in addition thereto be signed by the owner
or his agent of the premises, signifying his consent. Maereupon
if the General Council is satisfied the said license should be
granted, they shall pass an order or motion to that effect. The
jlicense herein provided for shall not be issued until the applicant

therefor has paid to the City Treasurer, the sum of $100.00 for each
and every day said carnival or street fair is proposed to be operated

and conducted, and said license shall state the number of days and
describe the place where same shall be located, and no such carnival)
or street fair shall be held or conducted at any place other than

!i that stated in said license.

SECTION 2.

No Yree license shall be given to any person or persons,
i
or to any organization or corporation for holding a carnival or
street fair.
SECTION 3.
pi Any person, firm, company, orgainization or corporation
conducting or operating a carnival or street fair in violation of
this ordinance or without first having procured a license therefor
in the manner herein provided, shall be fined not less than $50.00
nor more than $100.00 for each day said ordinance is violated, and
each tent show oroconcession so operated shall constitute a
separate offense.
SECTION 4.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith, to the extent of such conflict, are hereby repealed.
SECTIO14 5.
This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication.
