AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USE OF STREETS AND SIDEWALKS BY
PEDDLERS IN THE SECTION BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY MONROE STREET, ON THE
SOUTH BY CLARK STREET AND EXTENDING FROM THE EAST SIDE OF FIRST STREET TO
THE ;VEST SIDE OF 6TH STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCIY.I/
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL DOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1
It shall be unlawful for peddlers to stand, locate or station
themselves or their vehicles for the sale of goods, wares or merchandise
on any of the streets or sidewalks in the section bounded on the North by
Monroe Street, on the South by Clark Street, extending from the east side
of First Street to the West side of 6TH Street in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky.
: SECTION 2 :
The provisions of this ordinance shall not apply to popcorn or
peanut vendors, or lunch stands on wheels, especially provided for in
the License Ordinance of said City, whose location on said streets shall
be subject to police regulation to meet the convenience and needs of the
traveling public.
SECTION 3
Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions hereof
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine of not less than
$5.00 nor more than $25.00 for each offense.) g
SECTION 4
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and aftor
its passage, approval and publication.
