A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE CONSTRUCTION OF STORM

AND B SEINER DIS12RIC^1 NUI BER THREE, TO BE A NECEI; SITY, and SETTING
OUT, IN GENERAL TERES, THE PROPERTY SUBJECT TO TIE PkYI. Ell' OF THE
COST OF SA ,IH.
WHEREAS, there has been ceated and established, in
the City of Paducah, 1:entucky, Sewer District No. 3, which has
been divided into sub-divisiorB A, B and C; and,
'.HEREAS, there is being constructed, in said
Sewer District, trunk line sewers at the cost of the City of 2aducah,
Lentucky, which trunk line seriers have now been completed; and,
H�REAS, there has been created and established,
Sewer Zone. `70:2;'in Sub -Divisions A and B, Sewer District No. 3,
by an�k Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners on the 23rd
day of February, 1923, wherein said -zone is described by metes and
bounds, and is hereinafter described, and a plat of which zone
appears on file in the office of the City Engineer of the City of
Paducah, Lentucky, and may be inspected by anyone making -applica-
tion therefor at said office; and,
'; HEREAS; Sevier Zone idlunber Pour in Sub -Divisions
A and B, Sevier District Niunber 3, is not provided with sewers, and

is in a thickly populated territory, and in order to provide ade-
quate sewers for the property owners in said zone, it is hereby
deemed and declared a. necessity by the General Council of the City
i! of Paducah, Kentucky, that storm and sanitary severs be constructed
in said zone in order to provide adequate sewerage for the property
owners residing in said Zone; NOW, 'THEREFORE;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL 02''THE CITY

That it is hereby declared a necessity by the C.

j General Council of the City of Paducah, Lentucky, in order to
secure adequate sewerage, and in order to protect the health of the
citzens residing in Sewer Zone Number Four, Sub -Divisions A and B,
Sewer District Number Three, that storm and sanitary sevjerss;of land
benefitted thereby, and all of the lots or parcels of land embraced
in said Zone are hereby declared to be the property benefitted,
and subject to be assessed for the cost of constructing said sewers.

Said Sewer 'Lone Number Four of Sub -Divisions A and B, of
Sewer District Number three, in which said sewers are to be constructed,
is described by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a point, the intersection of the
center line of 13th street and the center line of an
alley parallel to and 203 feet 3 inches southward from
Trimble Street, said point being on the boundary of
Sewer District No. 2; thence southward with the boundary
of Sever District No. 2, along the center line of 13th
Street, to a point 206 feet 3 inches northward from the
center line of Broadway; thence at right angles westward,
continuing along the boundary of Sewer District No. 2,
parallel to and 2o6 feet 3 inches northwardly from the
center line of Broadway, to the center line of 16th
street; thence at right angles southward with the Bound-
ary of Sewer District No. 2, 206 feet 3 inches to the
center line of Broadway; thence at riht angles westward
with the boundary of Sewer District No. 2, along the
center line of Broadway to a point on the west line, if
extended, of property of Ere. Rosena W. Bradshaw, said
west line being 673 feet from the east property line of
that part of 17th street (Fountain Avenue), which extends
south from Broadway; thence at ri,-ht angles southward
,..ith the boundary of Sevier District No. 2, and with said
west line of the Bradshaw property 208 feet; thence at
right angles westward along a line parallel,to and 208

or less, vest of the center of 16th street; thence
northward with said northwest boundary line of Oak Grove
Cemetery to the center line of Tully .,venue, or to said
center line of Tully :venue Extended; thence northward on
a line with the center of Tully revenue to a point 180 feet
northviard from the center of Trimble Street, measured at
right angles to :Trimble Street; thence eastward along the
line of rear boundaries of the lots which face on Trimble
Street in Block I'do. 46 of the Flournoy, Norton, Trimble
and Harris -ddition, to the line between Lots no. 3 and 4

between lots 3 and 4, to the center of Trimble Street,
a point 39 feet, more or less, westward from the intersec-
tion of the center line of Trimble Street, and the center line
of 15th Street; thence eastward along the center line of
Trimble Street to the center line of 14th Street; thence
southward along the center line of 14th Street, 203 feet
and 3 inches to the center line of an alley between Clay I
Street and Trimble Street; thence westward along the
center line of said alley to the center of 13th Street, i
to the point of beginning."
- CTION 3. --
Said sewers shall be constructed along and under the
'following named streets and alleys in Sevier Zone Ido. 4, in Sub -Division
IIA and B—Sevrex District Ido. 3, and the cost of same shall be apportioned
against all the property in said sexier zone as follows:
(1) All the lots of parcels of land bounding or
abutting on the hereinafter named streets, alleys or highways along or
under which sewers shall be constructed are hereby declared to be the
property benefitted thereby and said cost shall be apportioned and assess-
ed equally against said abutting lots or lands according to the abutting
feet 'thereon, provided that the cost of said construction does not exceed
5;2.00 per abutting foot.
(2) In the event the cost of construction of said sewer
shall exceed x,,2.00 per abutting foot along said streets, alleys or
highways whereon said sewer shall be. constructed, then such cost shall
be apportioned against all of the lots or lands in said Sevier zone
benefitted by raid sewer according to the area in square feet pf the
lots or lands so benefitted.
And which streets, alleys or highways along which said
sewer shall be constructed are described as follows, to -wit:
On 25th Street, commencing at the proposed sevier on
Jefferson Street and running thence southwardly on 25th
Street, a distance of 370 feet from the center
line of Jefferson Street.
On 24th Street, commencing at the present
trunk line sewer at 24th Street and the Hinkle-
ville Road, and.rnnning thence north%.,iardl.y along
24th street, crossing Lindsey, and _ruger Streets
and to the south property line of I.iildred Street,
a total distance of approximately 1625 feet from
the center line of the Hinrleville Road.
On 23rd Street, commencing at the proposed
sewer on Jefferson Street and running thence
sonthwardly on 23rd street to the center line
of an alley which lies between Jefferson Street
and Broad,.+ray, and .rhich runs parallel thereto,
a distance of 220 feet from the center line of
Jefferson Street to the center lire of said
alley.
On 23rd Street, commencing at the proposed
sever on Kentucky .venue and running thence north-
wardly on 23rd street to the center line of an
alley which lies between Broadway and Kentucky
Avenue and which runs parallel thereto, a dis-
tance of 206 feet from the center line of Lentucky
rvenue to the center line of said alley.
On 23rd Street, commencing at the present
trunk line sewer on the Hin:,�leville Road and
running thence northviardly on 23rd Street,
crossing Lindsay and _:ruger Streets, and to
the center line of I..ildred Street, a total dis-
tance of approximately 1612 feet from the center
line of the Iiinkleville Road to the center line
of L,ildred Street.
On 22nd Street, commencing at the present
trun; line sewer on th( Hin'=leville Road and!%

crossing Lindsay and ::rage and to the center

feet from the center lane of the Hinkleville

In an alley lying, between 20th and 21sT Streets
and running parallel thereto, commencing at the
proposed sewer on Clara: Street and running thence
southwardly along said alley, a distance of 358
feet from the center line of Clark Str,,et.

Street, to the center line of ['!heeler :Venue.

On Gutheie ,venue or 19th Street, commencing
at the present trunk line sewer at the center line
of Jackson Street and running thence southwast-
wa.rdly along Guthrie .:venue or 19th Street, cross-
ing C, 8,and A streets to a point 40 feet north-
westward from the centerline of the Layfield Road

feet from the center line of Jackson Street.
In an alley lying between 17th and 19th Streets
and running parallel thereto, commencing at a point; in
said alley at a distance of 130 feet southward from the
center line of _jefferson street and running thence
southwardly along alley on a line 411 feet west-
ward from the center Line of 17th Street and parallel
thereto, a distance of 195 feet to a point 90 feet
northward from the center line of Broadway, crossilig
an intersecting alley which lies between Broadway and
Jefferson Streets, and which runs parallel thereto.
On 17th Street, commencing at the present trunk line
sewer on Clay Street and running thence northwardly on
17th Street, a distance of 3.35.5 feet from the center
line of Clay Street to the center line of Trimble Street.
On 17th Street, commencing at the present trun_. line �,_

from the center line of Harrison street, a total distance
of approximately 545 feet.
On 17th Street, commencing at the proposed sewer
on Monroe Streot and running thence northwardly on 17th
street, a distance of 147,5 feet from the center line of

On 17th Street, commencinC at the proposed sewer on
Kentucky Avenue, if extended, and running thence south-
wardly on 17th Street crossing Washington Street to a
point 280 feet southward from the center line of Wash-
ington Street, a total distance of 677 feet.
On 17th Street, commencing at the proposed sewer
on Clark Street and running thence southwardly on 17th
str;et, a distance of 400 feet from the center line of
Clark Street,
On 17th Street, commencing at the proposed sewer

running thence south astwardly and southwardly, con-
forming to the angles in 17th street near Guthrie Avenue
gravel pit, a distance of 399.5 feet as measured along

to the center line of Monroe Street, a distance of

On 15th Street, commencing at the present trunk
line sewer on Clay Street and running thence southwardly
on 15th Street, crossing Harrison, Madison andL[onroe
Streets to a point 190 feet southward from the center
line of lonroe Street, a total distance of approximately
1455 feet.
On jaclson Street, commencing at the end of the
present trunk line sewer at the intersection of: Guthrie
Avenue, 19th Street and Jachson Streit and running thence
southwardly, and southwestwardly conforming to the angle
in Jackson Street, crossing 20th Street to the center like
of Mist Street, a distance of approximately 937.8 :feet,
On Adams Street, commencing at the present trunk
line sewer on 19th Strent and running thence westwardly on
Adams Street crossing 20th Street to the center line of an
alley, which point is 200 feet westward from the center
line of 20th Street, a total distance of 648.6 feet.
On Adams Street, if extended, commencing at the
present trunk line sewer on 19th Street and run-
ning thence eastwardly on Adams Street, if ex-
tended, to the center line of 17th Street, a
total distance of approximately 660 feet.
On C1ar:c Street, commencing at the present
trunk line sewer on 19th Street and running
thence westwardly on Clark Street, crossing 20th
Street, if extended, to the center line of an
alley, which point is 200 .feet westward from

On Clark Street, if extended, commencing

line of 19th Street and running thence west-
wardly, crossing 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23 :and 24th
Streets to the center line of 25th Street, a
total distance of approximately 2315 feet.

encing at the present trunk line sewer on
19th and running: thence eastwardly on entuck,

trunk line sewer on 19th street, and running

On Jefferson �treet, commencing at the present trunk
line sewer on 19th Street and running thence eastwardly on
Jefferson street to an existing sewer on Jefferson Street
at a distance of 98 :feet eastward from the center line of
19th street; the total length of this line from the present

Jefferson street being Iii feet.
On Idonroe street, commencing at the present trunk
line sewer onl9th Street and running thence eastwardly on
Monroe Street the center line of 17th Street, a distance
of approximately 722.5 feet.
On Ldonroe Street commencing at the proposed sewer
on 16th street and running thence westwardly on Lionroe
street to a point 500 feet from the center line of 16th
street.
On 1.1onroe Street, commencing at the proposed sewer
on 16th street and running thence eastwardly on Lionroe
Street to a point 140 feet from the center line of 16th
street.
On I.1onroe Street, commencing at the proposed sewer
on 15th Street and running thence eastwardly on Lionroe
Street to a point on the ea::t property line of 14th street,
a distance of 460 feet from the center line of 15th street.
On Madison Street, commencing at the present trunk
line sewer on 19th street and running thence westwardly m

drive way of the Circle on a bearing of approximately
South 57 degrees East, a distance of 120 feet from tihe
genter line of (.:adison Street at a distance of 495 feet

On Ladison Street, commencing at the proposed sewer -
on -16th street and running thence westwardly on (.:adison
Street to a point in the driveway of Land Park Circle, a Q

On the east side of Lang Park Circle at Ladison
Street, commencing at the end of the proposed sewer on
liadison Street, which point is on the center line of
Lladison Street 520 feet westward from the center line of
16th street and running thence northwardly along the drive-
way of the Circle on a bearing of approximately North 50
degrees hest, a distance of 160 feet from the center line
of Ladison Street, atba distance of 520 feet westward from
the center line of 16th street.
On I-adison Street, commencing at the proposed
sewer on 15th street and running thence eastciardly on
I.ladison street, crossing 14th street to a point 10 feet
testward from the center line of 13th street, a total
distance of approximately 845 feet.
