AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EMPLOYLIENT AND PAY OF
EMiERGENCY OR EXTRA PATROILIEN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THEIGENJERALCOUNCUL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.

That on account of the unprecedented development of the railroad
shops and the influx of people into the City of Paducah; and on account
of the present inadequate police force, the Chief of Police is hereby
directed and authorized to temporarily employ, as extra patrolmen a
sufficent number of qualified men to serve as extra or emergency patrolmen
to efficiently police or patrol the City. Provided, however, that the
whole number of such extra or emergency men shall not at any time exceed
nine in number.
S'IECTION 2.
The rate of pay for extra or emergency patrolmen as herein
provided for shall be the same as that of regular patrolmen.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from its
passage, record and publication.
