AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY SOLICITOR TO ACT AS
DELINQUENT TAX COLLECTOR; 61-

THERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL, CITY OF Ph DUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
ii
That pursuant to Section 3188 of Kentucky Statutes, being
a portion of the charter of cities of second class,'the City Solicitor
I
is hereby authorized to act as Delinquent Tax Collector.
j SECTION 2.
As such Delinquent Tax Collector he shall execute bond i'n
I
the sum of $2000.00 for the faithful discharge of his duties, and for,
his faithful payment and delivery to the City Treasurer of all de-
linquent taxes collected by him.
SECTION 3.
As such Delinquent Tax Collector he shall have all the
powe2sfor the collection of delinquent taxes conferred by charter of
cities of second class upon the Treasurer, except that he shall have
no power to sell real estate or execute deeds for same. He shall make
daily reports to the Auditor of all collections, giving to him a
duplicate receipt from the Treasurer for the collections, and shall
make settlement with the Auditor whenever called upon so to do.
SECTION 4.

As such Delinquent Tax Collector he shall receive as
compensation for his services 15% on the first x`300.00, and 8% on any,
amount in excess thereof on each delinquent tax bill that may be

collected by him.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage, approval and publication.
