PROVIDING THAT SAME SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED UPON THE 10 YEAR PAYMENT PLAN";

WHEREAS, in accordance with said ordinance it was provided i
that the cost of construction of said sidewalks, curbs and gutters be j
paid.for by the abutting property owners on both sides thereof, except I
that portion to be paid by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as required
by law; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance a contract was entered
into on August 6th, 1924, between G. W. Robinson & Company, of Owensboro,
Kentucky, and said City, for the construction thereof; and,
WHEREAS, said construction has been completed and duly acceptid,
except is to a portion of said improvement for the completion of which
time has been extended to said contractor, and duly accepted bythe Gene al
Council, on the 19th day of January 1925, pursuant to the recommendation
made thereof by the Board of Public Works of said City:
NOi9, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENER,tL COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PA DUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That all property on both sides of 13th Street from the north
curb line of Tennessee Street to the South curb line of Jackson Street;
both sides of North 11th Street from the north property line of Madison
Street to the South curb 'Line of Trimble Street; both sides of Monroe
Street from the west property line of Fountain Avenue (17th Street) to
the west curb line of 19th Street; both sides of 20th Stre(:t, 21st Street,
22nd Street, 23rd Street, 24th Street, and the east side only of 25th

Street from the north property line of Broadway Street to the south
property line of Jackson Street; both sides of Madison and Harrison
Streets from the west property line of 12th Street to the east proper

As particularly shorn by said estimate of such cost in the office
of the City Engineer, including all necessary manholes, intakes,

catch basins, sewer pipe connections and cast iron drain pipes used
in such constructions, now referred to and made part hereof.
SECTION 2.
That the funds derived from the assessment of said proper
shall be used for the purpose of paying off the special tax bills
issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky
Statutes.
SECTION 3.
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes,
said tax assessment may, at the option of the property owner, be
payable in cash without interest within 30 days from the date of
passage and publication of this ordinance, or in ten annual install-
ments, provided the property owners shall before the expiration of
said 30 days, enter into a written agreement with said City, in
accordance with the provisions of Section 3101 of the Kentucky
Statutes.

SECTION 4.
In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment of the
cost of that portion of the special assessment herein provided for, which
may be paid for on the installment plan, as hereinbefore provided, the
City of Paducah may issue and sell improvement bonds, and to secure the
payment of such bonds, there is hereby pledged such taxes add liens on the
property assessed herein for the payment of the principal and interest,
but such bonds shall not be sold for less than par, and the proceeds
derived therefrom shall be applied exclusively to the payment of the cost

of said construction as hereinbefore provided, and such bonds, if issued,
shall bear interest and shall be payable in accordance with the provisions
of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes as amended by Act of 1910.
SECTION 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from its
passage, record and publication.
