AN ORDINANCE REGULkTING TI1F: USE OF MOTOR CARS AND OTHER
EQUIPMENT BELONGING TO THECITY.OF PADUCAH, BY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES
OF SAID CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That all of the motor cars, trucks, wagons, and
other vehickles and equipment belonging to the City of Paducah shall
be entrusted to the charge, care and control of the heads of the
respective departments of said City Goverment, in whichthe same are used,
subject to the regulations and restrictions hereinafter contained.
SECTION 2. That no one in charge of such motor cars, trucks,
wagons, vehiel`es-'or eauipmffnt, and no subordinate employee in such
department, shall use the same, except inthe discharge of the duties
of his office or employment under said City; provided that the going
to and from meals by one in charge of such property shall be considered
incident to and with in the line of duty of such officer or employee.
SECTION 3. Any violation of the provisions of this Ordinance
is hereby declaredto be a misdemeaner and subject to a fine of not
less than $5.00 nor more than ;210.00 for each offence.
SECTION 4. Upon conviction hereunder in the Paducah Police
Court such officer or employee so convicted may be suspended or dis-
missed from survice, in the discretion of the board of Aldermen on
proof thereof before said Board.
SECTION 5. In the absence of any prosecution in said Police
Court, a charge for violation hereof may be made before the Board of
Aldermen, and trial of such officer or employee duly had before such
Board, as provided by the Statutory laws applicable to said City for
the trial of City officers.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage, approval and publication.
