O THE PAYMENT OF THE COST OF SALE.
WHEREAS, There has been created and established, in the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, Seiler District No. 3, which has been divided into
Sub -Divisions A, B and C; and,
?FJHEREAS, there is being constructed, in said Seiler. District,

trunk line sewers at the cost of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, which
trunk line sewers have now been completed; and,
.'MEREAS, there has been created and established, Sewer Zone
Number Two, in Sub -Division B, Sewer District No. 3, by an Ordinance
adopted �.b� she Board of Commissioners on the 23rd day of February 1923,
wherein said,ZonJ is` dQsdribed by metes and bounds, and is hereinafter
described, and a plat of vihlch+zone appears on file in the office of the
City Engineer of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and may be inspected by
anyone making application therefor at said office; and,
?tRIEREAS, Sewer Zone !lumber Two, in Sub -Division B, Sever
District No. 3, isnotprovided with sewers and is in a thickly populated
territory, and in order to provide adequate seviers for the property owners
in said Zone, it is hereby deemed and declared a necessity by the General

Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, that sanitary sewers be con-
structed in said Zone in order to provide adequate sewerage for the property
owners residing in said Zone; NO'3, THEREFORE -
BE IT :RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That it is hereby declared a necessity by 'the General Council
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, in order to secure adequate sewerage,
and in order to protect the health of the citizens residing in Sevier Zone
Number Two, Sub -Division B, Sevier District Number Three, that sanitary j
sewers be constructed and laid out at the cost of the lots or parcels of
land benefitted thereby, and all of the lots or parcels of land embraced
in said Zone are hereby declared to be the property benefitted, and subject
to be assessed for the cost of constructing said sellers.
SECTION 2.
Said Sevier Zone Number Two of Sub -Division B, of Sewer
District Number Three, in which said sewers are to be constructed is
described by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit:

ward from the center line of 2nd Street, if extended,
said point being the southeast corner of First Sewer

SECTION 3.
Said sewers shall be constructed along and under the following
named streets and alleys in Sewer lone No. 2, in Sub -Division No. B,
Sewer District No. 3, and the cost of same shall be apportioned against
all of the property in said Sewer Zone as follows:
(1) All the lots or parcels of land bounding or abutting 8n the
hereinafter named streets, alleys or highways along or under which
such sewers shall be constructed are hereby declared to be the property
benefitted thereby, and said cost shall be apportioned and assessed
equally against said abutting lots or lands according to the abutting
feet thereon, p-roviddd that the cost of said construction does not exceed
X2.00 per abutting foot.
(2) In the event the cost of construction of said sewers shall
exceed $2.00 per abutting foot,along any.of said streets, alleys or high-
ways whereon said sewer shall be constructed, then such cost shall be
apportioned against all of the lots or lands in said serer zone benefitted
by said sewer, according to the area in square feet of the lots or lands
so benefitted.

constructed with 6 inch house connection service lines extending from
the sewer proper to the property lines of all property abutting on the

guilt, in such manner as to properly serve the property benefitted.
Six inch house connection service lines are to be con -
strutted from the present sewer lines (built under the 5600,000. bomd
issue) to the property lines of all abutting property on the following
streets or alleys in such manner as to properly serve the property
benefitted.
Husbands Street, or Husbands Street, if extended,
from the river to 12th Street or 12th Street,' if extended.
12th Street or 12th Street, if extended, from Husbands

SECTION 4.
Notice is hereby given to the owners of all property in said
Zone, and all property bounding or abutting on any of said streets,
alleys or highways, that the cost of construction of said sewer will
be assessed against such property in the manner hereinabove provided.
SECTION 5.
A blue print or plat showing the boundary of Sewer tone
No. 2, naming and showing the streets embraced in said Zone, and shoeing
the line and course of the sewer to be constructed hereunder, is filed
herewith and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 6.
For additional information of the public and owners of
property in said Zone, a blue print or plat showing the boundary of
said sewer zone and showing the streets embraced therein, and the line
and course of the sewer to be constructed hereunder, will be found on
file in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Paducah, and may
be inspected at any time upon application at said office.
SECTION 7.
The resolutions heretofore adopted by the General Council
on April the-2l=st, 1924, or any previous resolution in conflict herewith,
is hereby repealed, and this resolution shall take effect and be in
force after its passage, approval and publication.
