10IHEREAS, the General Council in the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
has heretofore, to -wit, on the 2nd day of June, 1924, adopted an ordinance
entitled "An ordinance providing for the oiling of gravel streets in the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, at the cost of the abutting property owners; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance,
the Board of Public 71orks of said City caused the streets named in the caption
and hereinafter described, to be sprinkled or spread with oil, and has kept
an accurate account of the cost incident to the doing of same, and said
City Engineer has certified the correct amount assessible against each

shown by the Cit; Engineer's Estimate of the cost of same, be and the sarin
is hereby assessed for the cost of sprinkling or spreading oil on said
streets, the sum of fifteen cents per abutting foot, as particularly shown
by said estimate of such costs on file in the office of the City Engineer;
now referred to and made a part hereof.

Ordinances_
SECTION 2.
That the funds derived from the assessment of said property
shall be used for the purpose of paying off the
cost of oil and spreading
of same as required by said ordinance, or 'of replacing any funds advanced
therefor by said City.
SECTION 3.
Said tax assessment shall be payable in cash without interest
within thirty days from date of passage and publication of this ordinance,
and should there be any default in the Payment of any tax assessment,
a
penalty of 10% shall be added thereto, and said City shall have the right to en
enforce the payment of said assessment with. interest and penalty, by
equitable action therefor, as Provided for the enforcement of other tax
assessments and liens.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
its oassage, record and publication.
