AT THne COST OF THE ABUTTING PROPERTY 01:;I:EFS, AND PROVIDING '_'He,T THE SAME MAY BE PAID FOR UPON THE TEN YEe+R PAY,iE?!T PLAN. c BE IT ORDj�INED BY THE GENERxL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH: SECTION 1. That concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, including all inter- sections not heretofore constructed, together with all necessary manholes, intakes. catch basins, cast iron drain pipes and sewer pipe connections, be constructed on both sides of Jackson Street from the crest property line of 10th Street to a point about 235 feet west of the viest property line of 13th Street in the Cit,, of Paducah, Kentucky, in accordance with the plans and specifications provided by the City Engineer therefor, and which plans and specifications are hereby referred to and made part hereof as if specifically set forth herein. SECTION 2. Said improvement shall be made under the direction and supervision of the City Engineer and Board of Public 'corks of said City, and shall"be commenced at the time designated by contract for the performance thereof, and completed oxi—or`•before December the 10th, 1924. SECTION 3. The cost of such construction shall be paid for wholly by the Property owners fronting or abutting thereon to be apportioned to and assessed against the property and the property owners abutting thereon according to the number of abutting feet thereon, except that portion to be paid for by the Cite of Paducah, as required by lase. SECTION 4. That the contractor awarded the contract for the work herein Provided shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes. SECTION 5. The I,:ayor of said City is hereby authorized and directed to execute all written contracts regilired of the successful bidder for the construction of said improvement as by law required. Ordinances SECTIO14 o. 1 Bids shall be received for the improvement herein provided for r according to the plans, specifications and profile furnished by the City Engineer of said City, and the contract therefor shall be awarded to the lowest and best bidder, extent the right is expressly reserved to reject any and all bids within the discretion of the Board of Public 'Norks and j the General Council, and said General Council may accept any bid which appears to be for the best interest of said City. I SECTION 7. The Board of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to /advertise for bids for the construction of said improvement, which bid I said Board is directed to report to the General Council, together with its recommendations for the acceptance of any of same, or the rejection f of all of same.
