HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 8, Page 121, No Ordinance NumberOrdinances - AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE TACKING OR POSTING OF SIGNS, PLACARDS, -CARDS OR OTHER ADVERTISEMENTS ON TELEPHONE POSTS, ELECTRIC LIGHT POSTS OR TREES ON OR ALONG ANY OF THE SIDEVALKS, STREETS, ALLEYS OR PUBLIC GROUNDS 7"ITHIN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation; except as hereinafter provided, to tack, place or post any signs, cards, placards or advertisements of any character on any telephone or electric light post or trees on or along any of the sidewalks, streets, alleys or public grounds in the Oity of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 2. Permits for the stretchings of streamers, the placing of banners and decorations, or other publicity devices, may be issued by the Mayor of the City of Paducah in his discretion when in the interest of charitable, benevolent, patriotic or municipal causes. SECTION 3. Any violation hereof shall be deemed a misdemeanor and the offender shall be subject to a fine of not less than $10.00 nor more than $25.00 for each offense. SECTION 4.
