necessary manholes, intakes, sever connections and drive -rays, be naid for
by the abutting property owners on both sides thereof, except that protio
to be paid by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as required by laws; and,
'.':'IIEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance, a contract was entered into
on the 17th day of I.Iay, 1927, between George l7. Y.atterjohn w Son, contrac
ors, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the construction thereof; and

FADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That all property on the north side of I7onroe Street from the
west curb line of 21st Street to the east curb line of 22nd Street; nest
side of 21st Street from the south property line of Kentucky Avenue to
the north curb line of Clark Street; Ashcraft Avenue from the south prop-
erty line of Poiuell Street to the north _property line of Sovo ll Street;
north side of Kentucky Avenue from the crest property line of 12th Street
to the east curb line of 15th Street; for the cost of construction of
sidewalks, curbs and ;utters, and on the south side of Kantucky Avenue
ifrom the east property line of 12th Street, if extended, 'to the v'rest curb
line of 15th Street, if extended, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as
shown by thelCity Engineer's estiriate of same, be, and the same is, hereby
assessed for the cost of construction on concrete sidewalks, curbs and
gutters as follows:

as particularly shown by said estimate of such cost in the office of the
City Engineer, includin& all necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins,
sewer pine connections and cast iron drain pipes used in such constructiln, �
now referred to an made part hereof.
SECTION 2.
That the funds derived frorn t}ie assessment of said property sha 1
be used for the purpose of paying off the special tax bills issued main t
said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the City of Paducah, pu -
suant to !section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes.

II SECTIOII 3.
That pursuant to section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, said
tax assessment may, at the option of the property ovmers, be paid in
cash without interest within thirty days aftor the date of passage aril
Publication of this ordinance, or in ten annual installments, provided
the property O—ors within thirty days enter into a .iritten agreement
with said City, in accordance with the provisions of mid Section 3101''
of the I_entucky Statutes.
SLCTIpiq 4.
In order to provide the funds fortbe immediate payment of tho,
cost of that portion of the special assessments herein provided for,

which may be paid on the ten year installment plan, as he_seinabove
provided, the City of Paducah may issue and sell improvement bonds,
and to secure the payment of such bonds, there is hereby pledged such'
taxes and liens on the propety assessed herein for the payment of
principal and interest, but such bonds shall not be sold for less than
Dar and the proceods derived therefrom shall be applied exclusively to

the payment of the cost of such construction as hereinabove provided;
and such bonds, if issued, shall bear interest and shall be payable
in accordance with the provisions of Section 3101 of the Kentucky
Statutes.
SECTIOit 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be ;n force from and after
its passage, approval and publication.
