CJHEREAS, in accordance with said ordinance it ergs provided that
cost of construction of said sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and the nece
manholes, intakes, sewer connections and driveways, be paid for by the
abutting property owners on both sides thereof, except that portion to be
paid by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as required by law; and,
':IIIEREAS, Dursuant to said ordinance, a contract was entered into
on the 9th day of September, 1926, between Yancy & Johnson and the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, for the construction thereof; and,
::'IIEIMAS, said work has been completed and duly accented by the
General Council on the 5th day of December, 1927, NO772 THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUiCIL OF TILE, CITY OF P- DUCAH,

SECTION 1.
That all property on both sides of 12th Street from the '::est
pro-nerty line of Ellis Street, except that portion of about SO lineal
feet which has heretofore been constructed, to the east curb line of Palm
Street; on the south side of 12th Street from 'the cast curb line of Sal-
em Street to the east curb line of Palm Street; on both sides of Hampton
Avenue from the south property line of 12th Street to the north property
line of 131th street; on both sides of Salem Avenue from the south pro

the office of the City Engineer, including all necessary manholes, in-
takes, catch basins, driveways, sewer pipe connections and cast iron drain
pipes used in such construction, now referred to and made part hereof.
SECTION 2.
That the funds derived from the assessment of said property shall
be used for the purpose of paying off the special tax bills issued againsp
said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the City 'of Paduchh, Ken:
t 1. ucky, pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTION 3.
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, said tax
assessment ,may, at the option of the property owners, be paid in cash
without interest within thirty days after the date of passage and publi-
cation of this Ordinance, or in ten annual installments, provided the
property owners within thirty days enter into a written agreement with
said City, in accordance with the provisions of said Section 3101 of the
Kentucky Statutes.
SEC TI O i? 4.
In order to provide the funds for the immediate payment of the co
of that portion of 'the special assessments herein provided fcr, which may
be paid on the ten year installment plan, as hereinabove provided, the
City of Paduc>.:h may issued and sell improvement bonds, and to secure the
payment of such bonds, there is hereby pledged such taxes and liens on
t?^.e Property assessed herein for the payment of principal and interest,
but such bonds shall not be sold for less than Par and the proceeds de-
rived therefrom shall be applied exclusively to the payment o f the cost
of such construction as hereinabove provided; and such bonds, if issued,
shall bear interest and shall be payable in accordance with t -he provision
of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTION 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage, approval and publication.
