That all property on both sides of Coxey "treet, from the wrest
property line of Lincoln Street to the east property line of the Chicago,
St. Louis &; New Orleans Railroad company; Twenty-fourth Street, from the
north nroperty line of the iliyjkleville load to the south property line
of Mildred Street, in thn vity of Faducea, "entucky, be, and the same is,
hereby assessed for the grading and gravelling of same, together :with all
necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins and scwr-r pipe conn-etions, as
follows:
For Gravel Street construction on "oxey Street, 40 ft. in •width, per
abutting; foot ;1.75
For Gravel Street construction on 24th Street, 37 feet in width, per
abutting*, foot .............................. i?1.70
Interest Cost. •;0.017669404 per dollar of
construction cost.

That the funds derived from the,ascossment of said property shall I
be used for the nurnose of -paying; off the special tax bills ixxued agains
said pronerty, or such bonds as riay be issued by the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, pnrsuant to Sectiln 3101 of the rentucky Statutes.
SECTION 3.
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky `'tatutes, s^id tax
assess*,!ent troy, at the' option of the property owners be. payable in cash
without interest :within thirty days frog the date of passage and pub-
lication of this ordinance, or in ten -annual installc.ents, provided the
property owners within thirty days enter into a :written agreement with
said "ity, in accordance with the provisions of se -id Section 3101 of
the "entucky Statutes.
SECTION 4.
In order to provide the funds for the inu-iediste nays^ent-of the cost
of that portion of the special assessments herein provided for, which
may be paid on the ten year installment plan, as hereinabove nrovided, t1 -e
City of Paducah -,ay Issue, and sell improvement bonds, and to secure the
payment of such bonds, there is hereby pledged such taxes and liens on
the property assessed herein for the payment of principal and interest,
but such bond: shall not be sold for less than nar, and the proceeds
derived therefrom shall be applied exclusively to the nay ent of the cos
of .such construction as herein above provided; and such bonds, if is=ue.d,
shall bei+r interest and shall be naynble in accordance with the nrovisio s
of Section 3101 of the ',entucky `statutes.

SECTION 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage, approval and nublication.
