BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENFPAL COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PA.DUCAH, KENTUCKY: �
M-CTIOT! 1.
"Broadcasting Station" shall be taken to Crean any
installation of electrical equipment canable of beim used or
onerated for or auxiliary to the transmission of radio energy
or radio communication or the transmission by radio of any
intelligence, r!essare, signals, nower, pictures, speech or music,
on radio b.roadcating* nave len,mths bete✓een 200 and 600 meters.
Sn:CTION 2.
No person, firm or corporation shall operate a hroad-
c,nstinF station within the Cit, of Paducah nrithout first having
obtninnd a license so to do from the �ene.ral Council.
SECTION 3.
Licenses to operate radio bronJcastin[* stations in con-

fc":'ty with this ordinance may be ussued by the Countil unnn
<lpnlication therefor.
Applications for licenses shall state the name of the
anrlicant, and, if a corporation, the navies of the officers; if a
>tnership, the names of ther.embers thereof; the equipment to be

used in connection ::ith such proposed broadcastinv station, the
tre--taddress or location of the proposed station, and the nare of
the noVson or persons to be. in char -e of such station.,
Licenses shall not be issued until the fee fixed bereir
shall have been paid into the dity Treasury.
An annual license fee of fifty dollars,($50.00) shall
accomrany each application for a broadeastinq station'license.
All licenses shall expire the first Monday in January
of each ,year.
SECTION 4.

No person, firm or corporation shall operate- any broad-
castin;- transmitter located within the laity of Paducah or within a
distance of less than two miles from such city limits at any time
with an antenna output of more than 500 watts,

The total number of evening hours ner week which any broadcasting
station may onerate a transmitter, within the City Limits or within a dis-
tance of les:, than two miles from such City Limits, shall not exceed
ttselve evening hours each ;'eek.
SECTION 6.
It shall be unlawful to operate in the Laity of Paducah any
radio receivinE- equipment in such a r,;anner ::s to cause electro -static or
electro -magnetic waves to radiate from its antenna in such a rianncr as to
result in interference with radio reception.
It shall be unlawful to onerate within the City of Paducah
between the hours of 6 P.11., and midnight of the same day any vibrating
battery charger or any other anperatus or equipment in such a canner as
to cause electric, electro -static or electro-marmetic waves to be rad-
iated therefrom, in such a r.:anner as to result in interference with radio
retention.
SdCTION 7.
It shall be the duty of the glectrical Inspector of the Oity of
Paducah to enforce the provisions of this ordinance, and for that nurnose
he shall have authority to enter unon the rre-raises of and to ir"snect the
equipment of any broa3e st,;nr- station in the pity of Paducah.
RACTIOII S.
Any nerson who shall violate any of the provisions,of this
ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof before the Mainiciral Court of
said City, be punished by a fine of not exce.ndinu, One ilundred Dollars
(8100.00) or Less than r'ifteen Dollars ('1.5.00) or by imn.risonrient for not
to exceed ninety (90) days. Each and every day's continuance of any
violation of this ordinance shall be deemed a separate offense.
SECTION 9.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its nassage, apnroval and nublication.
