it was provided in such ordinance that the cost of
construction of said roadway, curbs and gutters, together with the
necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins, driveways and sewer con-
nections be Paid for by the shutting property owners on both sides of,
said street, extent that portion to be paid by the City of Paducah as
required by law; and,

SECTION 1.
That all property on both sides of Trimble Street, now'Park Avenue,
from the west property line of 10th street to the east property line of
13th Street; from t.e west property li..e of 136n bureet to the west prop-
erty .i:tne of 17th Street, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and the
same is,-heireby assessed for the cost of construction of a hard surface
roadway, consisting of a concrete foundation with a sheet asphalt top
wherever constructed, as shown on plans, and curbs and Putters, tor -ether
with all necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins, driveways and sewer
connections, as follows:

as particularly shown by the City Engineers estimate of said cost
filed and approved by the General Council of said City, and which will
appear on file in the offices of the City Clerk and City Engineer,
respectively, and which are now referred to and made part hereof.
SECTION 2.
That the funds, derived from the assessment of said property
shall be used for the purpose of paying off the special tax bills
issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky
Statutes.
SECTION 3.
That, pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, said
tax assessment may, at the option of the property owners be payable
in cash without interest within thirty days from the date of passage
and publication of this Ordinance, or in ten annual installments,
provided the property owners within thirty days enter into a written
agreement with said City, in accordance with the provisions of said
Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes.

SECTION 4.
In order to provide the funds for the immediate payment of
the cost of that portion of the special assessments herein provided
for, which may be paid on the ten year installment plan, a:; herein-
above provided, the City of Paducah may issue and sell improvement
bonds, and to secure the payment of such bonds, there is hereby
pledged such taxes and liens on the property assessed herein for the

payment of principal and interest, but such bonds shall not be sold
for less than par, and the proceeds derived therefrom shall be applied
exclusively to the payment of the cost of such construction as herein-
above provided; and such bonds, if issued, shall bear interest end
shall be payable in accordance with the provisions of Section 3101 of
the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTION 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and ®fterI
its passage, approval and publication.
