YENTUCKY, AT THE COST OF THE ABUTTING PROPERTY O N,,RS, AIM PROVID ING THAT
SAP:SE SHALI. BE CONSTRUCTED UPON THE TEN YEAR PAYIAENT TIAN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CONWIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That Monroe Street from the '.Vest property line of Eia_nth Street
to the East property line of Ninth Street, in the City of Paducah, Ken-
tucky, be, and the same is hereby ordered to be constructed with con-
crete, or any other improved paving material, as may be determined by
the Board of Commissioners as the best and most economical material for
the construction thereof, and that all necessary manholes, catch basins,
intakes and sewer pipe connections be made, upon bids made therefor, and all
to be done accordance with the plans, grades, specifications,
widths and profiles prepared in the office of the Commissioner of Public
,7orks, all of which are adopted as a part of.t°his Ordinance, as fully as
if embraced herein or attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked "A"
for more specific identification.
SECT ION 2.
That said work shall be constructed under the direction and
supervision of the Commissioner of Public 'Works, and shall. be commenced
at the time designated by contract for the performance of said work, and
completed on or before December 10th, 1923.
SEC TION 3.
The cost of such construction of said work shall be paid for
wholly by the property owners abutting or fronting thereon, to be appor-
tioned to and assessed against the property and property owners abutting
thereon, according to the number of abutting feet thereon, except that
portion to be paid for by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as required by
law. SECTION 4.

The Contractor awarded the contract for the work herein,shall
be paid as provided in Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky
Statutes.
SisCTIOII 5.
The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
written contracts and bonds with the successful bidder for the con-
struction of said improvement, as required by law.
SECTION 6.

Bids shall be received for the construction of said improvement,
according to the plans and specifications made and provided therefor by.
the Commissioner of Public Works, and the contract therefor shall be ;

awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is expressly re-
served to reject any and all bids, within the discretion of the Board of
Commissioners, buy they may accept any bid which is for the best interest
of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 7 -
The.
The Commissioner of Public ,Yorks is hereby Riven the right and
authority to advertise for bids 'for the construction of said improvement,
but the manner of advertising and the time and place for receiving Said -
bids shall be designated by the Board of Commissioners.
SECTION 8.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force ten (10) days
from and after its passage, record and publication. /
