Ordinance No. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DRIVEWAYS, TOGETHER WITH ALL NECESSARY MANHOLPS, CATCH BASINS, INTAY.ES AND SE'N ER PIPE CONNECTIONS ON SOUTH TENTH STREET, OR PIURRELL BOULEVARD, FROM THE SOUTH i PROPERTY LINE OF BROADWAY TO THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF TENNESSEE STREET, IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH. KENTUCKY, AT TI?E COST OF THE ABUTTING PROFERTY OWNERS, AND PROVIDING THAT SAM`S SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED UPON THE TEN YEAR PAYI.IENT PLAN. BE IT ORDAINED BY WE BOARD OF COITAISS IONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the driveways on South Tenth Street, or I?urrell Boulevard, from ; the South property line of Broadway to the South property line of Tennessee) Street, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, ant the same is hereby order ed to be constructed erith concrete, or any other improved paving material, as may be determined b;T the Board of Commissioners as the best and most economical material for the construction thereof, and that all necessary manholes, catch basins, intakes and sewer pipe connections be made, upon bids made therefor, and all to be done in strict accordance with the plans,' grades, specifications, widths and profiles prepared in the office of the Commissioner of Public ''forks, all of which are adopted as a part of this Ordinance, as fully as if embraced herein or attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked "A" for more specific identification. i SECTION 2. That said work shall be constructed under the direction and supervi- sion of the Commissioner of Public Works, and shall be commenced at the time designated by contract for the performance of said work, and completed on or before December 10th, 1923. SECT IOPI 3. The cost of such construction of said work shall be paid for wholly by the property owners abutting or fronting thereon, to be apportioned to i and assessed against the property arn'i property owners abutting thereon, according to the number of abutting feet thereof, except that portion to be paid for by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as required by law. SECTION 4. The Contractor awarded the contract for the work herein, shall be paid as provided in Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes. SECTION 5. i The Iuiiayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all written contracts and bonds with the successful bidder for the construction of said improvement, as required by law. Bids shall be received for the construction of said improvement,ll according to the plans and specifications made and provided therefor by i, the Commissioner of Public 'Yorks, and the contract therefor shall be awari - ed to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is expressly reserved to reject any and all bids, within the discretion of the Board of Commis- sioners, but they may accept any bid which is for the best interest of the City of Paducah.
