TENNESSEE RIVER, IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AT THE COST OF THE

TEN YEAR FAYMENT PIAN.

i' BE IT ORDAINED BY TAS' BOARD OF COTIT.ISSIONERS OF TETE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCEY:
SECT ION 1.
That the sidewalks, curbs and gutters, together with the neces-
sary manholes, intakes, catch basins and seders on the South side of

Tnnessee Street, from the East intersection of Tennessee and Third Streets
to the top, of the bank of the Tennessee River, in the City of Paducah,
lKentucky, be, and the same are hereby ordered to be constructed; that said

sidewalks, curbs and gutters shall be constructed of concrete material,
suitable, in all respects, for such construction, and all to be done in
strict accordance with the plans, grades, specifications, widths and pro-
files prepared in the office of the Commissioner of Public Works, and all
�of which are adopted as a part of this.ordinance, as fully as if embraced

herein or attached hereto and made a part hereof., and marked "A" for more
specific identification.

SECTION 2.

That said work shall be constructed under the direotion and
supervision of the Commissioner of Publio "forks, and shall be commenced
at the time designated by contract for the performance of said work., and

completed on or before six months after the passage and recording; of this
Ordinance.
S10TION .3.
The cost of such construction of said work shall be paid for
whol.ly by the property owners abutting or fronting thereon, to be appor-
tioned to and assessed against the property and property owners abutting
thereon, according to the niunber of abuttinP' feet thereon, except that
portion to be paid for by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as required by
law.
SECTION 4.
That the Contractor awarded the contract for the work herein,
shall be paid as provided in Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 and 3102 of the
Kentucky Statutes.
SECT ION 5.
The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
written contracts and bonds with the successful bidder for the con-
struction of said improvement, as required by law.
SLOTION 6.
Bids shall be received for the construction of said improvement,
according to the plans and specifications made and provided therefor
by the Commissioner of Public '.forks, and the contract therefor shall be
awarded to the lowest and best bidder, except the right is expressly re-
served to reject any and all bids within the discretion of the Board of
Commissioners, but they may accept any bid which is for the best inter-
est of the City of Paducah.
SECT ION 7.
The Commissioner of Public 'forks is hereby given the right and
authority to advertise for bids for the construction of said improve-
' went, but the manner of advertising and the time and place for receivinP
said bids, shall be designated by the Board of Commissioners.
SECTION 8.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force ten (10)
days from and after its passage.
