WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, adopted an ordinance on February 23rd, 1923, dividing part of

Sub Divisions A. B. and C., in Server District No. 3, into five sewer
zones for the purpose of constructing; servers therein, so as to provide
adequate servers for the property owners within said zones; and,
:VIIERi1a1S, said Board of Commissioners having adopted a resolution
declaring the construction of said sewers in Sewer Zone No. 4 a necessity;
NOW, TIL:REFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COP:IMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCY.Y:
SECTION 1.
That combined storm and sanitary servers be constructed and laid
in Sewer Zone No. 4, in Sub -Divisions A. and B., Sewer Distract No. 3, in
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as follows, to -wit:
"Commencing in 19th Street, and 19th Street if
extended, from Jackson Street to Clay Street.
In Clay Street from 15th Str^.et to a point 521
feet west of 19th Street.
Across private property, at right angles, to Clay
Street from a point 4.30 feet west of 79th Street, on Clay i
Street, to the Hinkleville Riad, and out the Hinkleville I
Road to 24th Street.

SEC T IOIT 2.
The construction of said sewers shall be done at the cost of all
the lots or parcels of land contained in said Zone, and as hereinafter
provided in Section 3 hereof.
SECTIOIT 3.
The Commissioner of Public 7orks, havinm made an approximate
estimate of the cost of constructirp, said sewers alon?? the streets,
alleys and property hereinbefore named, and his estimate having hereto-
fore been filed with the Board of Commissioners, and which shows that it
swill cost the bounding or abutting property which abounds and abutts
upon the streets and alleys along, through and under which said. sewers
al.l be constructed, a sum :which will exceed Two (yp2.00) Dollars per
abutting foot,- it is now, therefore, ordained by the Board of Commis-

sioners that all of the lots and parcels of land contained in Sewer Zone
No. 4 are deemed and declared to be the property benefitted by the con-
struction of said sewers, and each of said lots or parcels of ground
shall be assessed for the payment of the cost of the construction of
said severs, according to the number of square feet contained in each
lot or parcel of ground, and the cost per square foot shall be -apportion-
ed according to the entire cost of the construction, of said sewers, and
said Board of Commissioners shall fix, b;r ordinance, -the amount of tax
to be levied upon the lots or parcels of ground embraced in said Zone on
a scuare foot basis.
SxTION 4.
The lots and parcels of around, which will be assessed by the
square foot, and which are benefitted thereby, are embraced ir. Zone Tlo.

"Beginnino- at a point, the intersection
of the center line of 13th Street and the center
line of an, alley parallel to and 203 feet 3 inches
southward from Trimble Street, said point being on the
boundary of Sewer District 1o. 2; thence southward with
the boundary of Snwer District IIo. 2 along the center
line of 13th Street, to a point 206 feet 3 inches north-
ward from the center line of Broadway; thence at right
angles westward, continuirg along the boundary of Sewer
District No. 2, parallel to and 206 feet 3 inches north-
wardly from the center line of Broadway, to the center
line of 16th Street; thence at right angles southward
with the boundary of Sewer District No. 2, 206 feet 3
inches to the center line of Broadway; thence at right
angles westward with the boundary of Sewer District No. 2
along the center line of Broadway to a point on the west

said west line being 673 feet from the east property line
of that part of 17th Street (Fountain Avenue) which extends
south from Broadway; thence at right angles southward with

SECT ION 5.
Said sewers shall be constructed in strict accordance with the
plans, grades, specifications and profiles, as prepared by the Com-^is-
sioner of Public ,Yorks, and accepted by the Board of Commissioners.
SECTION 6.
Bids shall be received for the construction of said sewers,
accordini• to the plans, specifications and profiles, and the contract
therefor shall be awarded to the loriest and best bidder, except the right
is expressly reserved to reject any end all bids, ;ithin the discretion
of the Board of Commissioners, but they may accept any bid ,ihich is for
the best interest of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 7.
The Commissioner of Public Works is hereby given the right and
authority to advertise for bids for the constrrnctian of said sewers, but
the manner of advertising• and the time and place for receiving said bids,
shall be desipmated by the Board of Commissioners.
SSCTI0N 8.
Said work shall. be corstructed under the direction ani super-
vision of the Commission;or of Public ':Yorks, or the authorized agents of

the City of Paducah, and shall commence and be completed at a time des-
ignated by contract.
SECTION 9.
The Contractor awarded the contract for the work herein provid-
ed for, shall be paid only from the funds arising from the special tax
bills and assessments made azzainst the propert„, located in said Sevier
zone, except that said Contractor may be paid out of such bonds as
may be issued, according to law, and as provided in Sections 3101, 3102
and 3105 Kentucky Statutes.
S CTIOIT 10.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force ten (10) days
from and after its passage.
