BE IT ORDAIN?D BY THE BOARD OF COYl-'ISSIOIT ERS OF THE, CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCYY: SECTIO IT 1. No._%J- J - Ordinance No. That there is hereby levied for the ,year 1923, upon the taxable pro- perty within the City of Paducah, Kentucky, real and personal, an advalorem tax of One Dollar and Fifty Cents (t�1.50), pursuant to Section 157 of the State Constitution, and Seventy Five (.75�) Cents pursuant to the State Constitution and Statutes of Kentucky to defray the expenses of maintaining the schools, and Thirteen (.13V) Cents pursuant to said Constitution and Statutes for the purpose of paying the interest on the School Improvement Bonds and to create a Sinking Fund for the payment of said bonds at matur- ity, making a total of TWO Dollars and Thirty eight cents (:'P'2,38) on each j One hundred Dollars worth of said real and personal property in the City lof Paducah, Kentucky; and there is also hereby levied a poll tax of One (Dollars and Fifty Cents (81.50) on each 7 ale resident of the City of Paducah over 21 years of aee for the gear 1923. STCTIOIT 2. i That the rate of taxation for each item of expenditure, as here- i tofore apportioned and set out by ordinance, shall be on each one hundred 'dollars worth of property, as follows, to -wit: IIDepartment of Public Affairs .......... 17.95 i Department of Public 71orks............ 28.35 Department of Public Safety ........... 35.73 Department of Public Property ......... 36.25 Department of Public Finance .......... 31..72. That all revenue derived from licenses or other sources colleciei II and paid to the Commissioner of hzblic Finance shall be distributed to their respective eccounts in the same proportion as the advalorem tax, as hereinbefore provided for, except sources of revenue which have not been considered in making up the apportionment ordinance, and in the event of i the collection of any revenue which .vas not considered in making- up said i apportionment ordinance, then such revenue shell be credited to the de- partment through which such source of revenue is collected.
