SECTION I. i
That the time for reoeivinq sealed bids for the construction of
i
trunk line extension sewers, in Sower District No. 3, shall be up until
10 o'clock A. 0. on Tuesday, Varch 20th, 1923.
SECTION 2.
Henry A. Pulliam, Commissioner ofr'ublic :forks, is hereby author-
ized and directed to advertise for bids for the construct ion of trunk line
extension sewers, in Seaver District I?o. 3, on said date. He.will adver-
tise for bids by three insertions in the Official Newspaper, in the City I
of Paducah, Kantucky, and he w01 also advertise by at least two insert- I
ions in the Engineering News Record and in The Wanufacturers Record. He �
is hereby authorized to receive sealed bids for the construction of said
trunk, line extension sewers at -his office in the City Hall, Paducah,
Kentucky, up until 10 o'clock A. K., March 20th, 19 23 , at which time he
will present all of said bids to the .Board of Commissioners, when they
shall be opened at a public meet in e.
S CTIOY 3.
Each bid shall he accompanied by a certified check to the amount
of Two Thousand (12,000.00) Dollars, said checks to be made payable to
.7vnn Tully, Commissioner of Iublie Finance.
SECTION 4.
The Board of Commissioners reserves the richt to select the bid
or proposal, the acceptance of which will, in its judement, best secure
the efficient performance of the work, or to reject any or all rias.
Proposals -.which are incomplete, conditional or obscure, which contain
additions not called for, erasures, alterations or irregularities of any
kind, may be rejected as informal;.
SECTIOId 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from ani after

its passage, record and publication.
