y AN ORDINANCE AUTHORI?ING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND COUMISSIONER
OF PUBLIC FINANCE TO BORROW THE SUM OF FORTY THOUSAND ($40,000.00) DOLLARS,
FROIeI THE CITY NATIONAL BANK OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND TO EXECUTE A NOTE
FOR SAID SUM FOR AND ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF 1THE CITY OF PADU-
CAH, KENTUCKY: t
SECTION 1.
The I:4ayor and Commissioner of Public Finance are hereby authorized
and directed to borrow, on behalf of, and for the use and benefit of the
City of Paducah, from the City National Bank of Paducah, Kentucky, the
sum of Forty Thousand (;$40,000.00) Dollars, to bear interest at the rate
of 5j% per annum, and said sum, so borrowed, is hereby placed to the
credit of the General Fund of said City.
SECTION 2.
A note shall be executed, which shall bear the signature of the
City of Paducah by the LA yor and Commissioner of Public Finance of said
City, and said note shall be dated January 8th, 1923, and shall be due
and payable on July 5th, 1923, and bear interest thereon at the rate or
Q per annum from maturity until paid, and for the payment of said note,
there is hereby pledged all revenue to be collected by said City from
taxes due in June 1923.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage.

AN ORDINANCE FIXING TFE FEES TO B3 CHARGED FOR PLUMBING PERMITS
IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH. KENTUCKY.

PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the following fees shall be charged for the issuance of
permits for installation of plumbing and for the inspection thereof:
,Then fixtures are to be installed,- Two (x2.00) Dollars for the
first fixtures and Twenty -Five (.25¢) Cents for each additional fixture.
'Nhen no fixtures are to be installed,- Two ($2,00) Dollars.

or faulty work,- One ($1.00) Dollar for each such additional inspection.
A fixture shall mean a water closet, bath tub, lavatory, urinal,

sink, drain or other inlet into the sewor system.
SECT ION 2.
Payment of these fees shall be made to the Commissioner of
Public Finance, or to the City Treasurer, accordinv to a written state-
ment of the charge sipned by the City Sanitary ; np,ineer or Sez✓er In-
spector, and showing the date and serial. number of the permit. Upon
exhibition of a receipt for this payment from the Commissioner of Public
Finance or City Treasurer the permit shall be issued and proper inspect-
ion made.
SECTION 3.
No payments for plumbing inspection shall be made to anyone
other than the Commissioner of Public Finance or City Treasurer.
SECTION 4.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
;provisions of this ordinance, are hereby repealed.
SECTIOh 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its pa.ssaae, record and publication.
