AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE EIfTITLED "AN
ORDINANCE REGULATING THE I-10VING, TRAVEL AND TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC:
STREETS AND HIGH1'.AYS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES
FOR ANY VIOLATION HEREOF.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of P a d u c a h, K e n t o c k y.
Section 1. That Section 14 of an Ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE
REGULATING THE MOVING, TRAVEL AND TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND
HIM,'i YS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND PROVIDING :PENALTIES FOR ANY
VIOLhTION HEREOF", be, and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto
the following words, to -wit:
" Provided, however, that no automobile or motor driven
vehicle shall be permitted to turn around on any street, except at the
intersection of streets, extending from the North side of Jefferson
street to the Sotth side of Kentucky avenue and From the East side of
First street to the 17est side of Ninth street, in the City of Paducah
it being intended that v thin the prescribed territory it shall be the
duty of all drivers or operators of automobiles or motor driven vehicles
to seek the intersection of streets whenever it is desired that said
automobile or motor driven vehicle should be turned around in any
event ",
So that said Section when so amended shall read as follows, to -wit:
Sec. 14 - No vehicle shall back to make a turn in any street,
if by so doing it interferes with other vehicles, but it shall go
around the black or to a street sufficiently wide to turn 7ithout
backing. Provided, however, that no automobile or motor driven
vehicle shall be permitted to turn around on any street, except at
the intersection of streets, extending from the north side of
Jefferson street to the South side of Kentucky Avenue and from the
East side of First street to the 'fest side of Ninth street, in the
City of Paducah - it being intended that within the prescribed territory
it shall be the duty of all drivers or operators of automobiles or
motor driven vehicles to seek the intersection of streets whenever it
is desired that said automobile or motor driven vehicle should be
turned around in any event.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from •
and after its passage and approval.
