BE IT ORDAIN .D BY THF. BOARD OF OF THE CITY OF
P DUCAH, KENTUCYY:
SECTION 1.
That on and after the -irst day of January 1922, and in each
succeeding .year hereafter, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
company or corporation to enPa�,e in the business of a Pa•:•inbroker, until
such person, firm, comp, -21y or corporation shall have first paid the
amount of license tax to the Commissioner of Public Finance, hereinafter
set out, and have procured from'him a license. If any such license tax
oe not so paid, and the license not procured on or before the first day
of February in each year hereafter, there shall be added to such license
tax a penalty of Ten Percentum (1C`,'o). Said license shall not be assign
aole nor transferable.
Si:CTION 2.
Every person, firm, company or corporation, before engaging in
business as a Pawnbroker, shall first pay a license tax of One Hundred
and Fifty ('),'150.00) Dollars.
Sr',CTICU 3.
-Any person, firm, company or corporation, who shall engatre in
or carry on the business of a Pawnbroker, riithout first payir;�- and pro-
curing a license, as nerein provided, shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than One
Dollar, nor more than One Hundred Dollars for each offense, and each day
shall be deemed a separate offense, and a separate penalty shall be in-
flicted for each day any of the provisions of this Ordinance are violc.te
SRICTION 4.
All money derived from license taxes under the provisions of
this Ordinance, shall be paid to the Commissioner of Public Finance, and
by him placed to the credit of the General Revenue Fund of the City of
No. .t.

dental expenses of said City.
SECTION 5.
The Register and books of said Pawnurokers shall, at all times,
be open to zhe inspection of the Chief of Police, or any Police Officer,
of said City.'

All ordinances and parts of ordinances which are in conflict
herewith, are, zo the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 7.
This Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and including
the First day of January 1922.
