RRSO7 UTION.
WHEREAS under an Ordinance passed by the Board of Commission-
ers of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and which became effective on
the day of 1921, it was provided that the Paducah &
V —
Illinois Railroad Comin ny should commence, in wood faith, the erection
.of freight depots and warehouses as provided in said Ordinance on or
before the First day of December, 1921, and shall have completed the
erection of such freight depots and warehouses before the 31st day of
December, 1922;
AND TH3REAS, the said Paducah & Illinois Railroad Company has
represented to the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, that
because of existing business conditions, under which it is not possi-
ble for said Railroad Company to show a net earning, and it has not
available the funds at this time to begin the erection of the deyots
and warehouses as provided for in said Ordinance;
AITD the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, deem-
ing that under existing conditions, it is fair to the said Railroad
Company to extend the time when it shall begin the erection of the de-
pots and warehouses as provided in said Ordinance; And said Railroad
Company applyir_g for such extension;
NOW therefore be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners
of the City of Paducah, as follo n.
1.
That the time within which the Paducah & Illinois Railroad
Company shall begin the construction of it's freight depots, warehouses,
etc., under the Ordinance above referred to, shall be and it is hereby
extended up to and including the First day of April, 1922.

This Resolution shall be in effect from it's passage, record
and publication.

For the construction of concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters,
and all necessary manholes, intakes, sewers and catch basins on South
Ninth Street, from Husbands Street to the north property line of
Elizabeth Street, is eitended, and on the South side of Husbands street,

between ai,ghth and Ninth Streets, which work was to have been completed

�iby the 18th day of December, 1921, as stipulated in an ordinance author-
izing said improvement, adopted on the 16th day of Tay 1921; and,

1.7119ZHAS, the time will elapse on the 18th day of December 1921,
Il'in which to complete the said 'Work, and owing to unavoidable delays and
weather conditions, and the Contractors, being unable to complete the
same within the time specified in the Ordinance; and,
J 'THHREAS, said Contractors, Reynolds Brothers, have this day
filed with the Board of Commissioners a petition asking that the same be
0xterded until June 26th, 1922, and having executed contract on the 13th
day of June 1921, in accordance with their bid and the contract hereto-
fore made on said work, -

SECTION 1.
That the time for the completion of the above-named contract be
extended until June 26th, 1922, and that the Board of Commissioners accept'

and concur in the petition and a7-eement heretofore offered by the Con-
tractors, Reynolds Brothers.
SECTIOd 2.
This Resolution shall take effect after its passage, record and
publication.
