WHEHR11LS, The Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,

.REAS, in accordance with said Ordinance, it was provided tha
the cost of construction of said sidewaiks, curbs and gutters, and all
necessary manholes, intakes, sewers, catch basins and driveways, shall
be paid for by'the abutting property o%niners, on both sides of said
street thereof, except that portion to be paid by the City Of Paducah,
as required by law; and,
"IFIPLLS, pursuant to said Ordinance, a contr,.ct was entered
into by and bet -.-icer. Reynolds Brothers, Contractors, of Paducah, Yen-
tucky, and the City of laducah, Kentucky, for the construction thereof;

.ant to the recommendation made 'therefor by the Commissioner of Public
(Affairs, and the Engineer's estimate of the cost thereof havinf, been
confirmed; NO'1, THEREFORE: -

S`;CTIOPJ 1.
That all of the property- on the 'Jest side of Broad Street, :from the
Intersection of Fourth aa -,d Broad Street, including the Intersection at
Fourth and Broad Street, to the dividing line between the property of
Charlotte Ruff and the property of Barbara Petter; in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and the same is hereby assessed the sum of ;x0.99958 per
abutting foot, for the construction of concrete curbs and ¢utters, and all
necessary manholes, intakes, sewers and catch basins; and the property on
the East side of Broad Street, -from the Intersection of Fourth and Broad

Street to the iJorth curb line of Bridge Street, in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and the same is hereby assessed the sum of':j1.88708 per
abutting foot, for the construction of concrete sidewalks, curbs and
gutters and all necessary manholes, intakes, sewers, catch basins and �
driveways thereon.
UCTION 2.
That all funds derived from the assessment of said property
aforesaid, shall be used i'or the pur?)ose of payina off the special tax
mills issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the
City of Paducah, pursuar:t to Section 3101 0£ the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTIO) 3.
iThat pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, said
lassessments may be, at the option of thet- ro. er owners, p p y payable in cash
rr_thir_ thirty (30) days from the publication of this Ordinance, or in ten
annual installments, as provided in said Section.
SECTION 4.
In order to provide a fund for the immediate PELYMent of the i
cost of that portion of the said assessment ;which may be paid on the Ten
Year Payment Plan, the City of Paducah may :issue and sell improvement Bonds!

and,to secure the payment of said bonds, there is hereby pledged such �
taxes and liens on the property asses:,ed herein for the payment of the
principal and interest, but such bonds shall not be sold for less than par
and the proceeds thereof applied exclusively in payment of the improver:ents
hereinbefore mentioned, and si;ch bonds, if issued, shall bear interest,
and shall be payable in accordance ;with the provisions of Sections 3101
and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes.
