MEREAS, in accordance with said Ordinance, it was provided that;
the cost of construction of said sidewalks, curbs and ,mutters, and all
Ijnecessary manholes, intakes, servers, catch basins and driveways, shall be

paid for by the abutting property owners, on both sides thereof, except
that portion to be paid by the city of Paducah, as required by law; and,

into by and between Reynolds Brothers, Contractors, of Paducah, Yentucky,

IIand the Engineer's estimate of the cost thereof having been confirmed;

SECTION 1.
i
That all p\iq;,roperty on both sides of Fourth Street, from
the Forth property '! of Broad Street to the aro-
_1e in Fourth Street,
bet°.leen Broad Street and Elizabeth Street, in the CitIT of Paducah, I.en-
tucky, be, and the same is hereby assessed the sum of 01.88485 per abutt-
ing foot; arra the property on both sides of Fourth Street, from said anale!
to the South gutter line of 3lizabeth Street, in the City of Paducah,
,_entucky, be, and the same is hereby assessed the stun of %.9686 per

li abutting foot, for the cost of construction of said side•:ralks, curbs,
nutters, manholes, intakes, servers, catch basins and driveways.

SEC TI OIT. 2.
I That all of the funds derived from the assessment of said pro-
perty aforesaid, shall be used for the purpose of paying off the special
tax bills issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by
the City of Paducah, pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTION 3.
i
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the ;:entucky Statutes, said
assessments may be, at the option of the property owners, payable in cash
within thirty (30) days from the publication of this Ordinnu ce, or in ten
annual installments, as provided in said Section,

SECTION 4.
In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment of the
cost of that portion of the said assessment -which may be paid on the
Ten Year Payment Plan, the City of Paducah may issue and sell improve-
ment bonds, and, to secure the pa,ment of said bonds, there is hereby
pledged such taxes and liens on the property assessed herein for the
payment of the principal and interest, but such bonds shall not be sold
for less than par and the proceeds thereof applied exclusively in pay-
ment of the improvements hereirbefore mentioned, and such bonds, if
issued, shall bear interest, and shall be payable in accordance with the
provisions of Sections 3101 and 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTI0N 5.
This Ordinance shall take
effect and be in
force
after its
passage, record and publication.
