I� [,HI,.RZAS, In accordance with said Ordinance, it was provided that
lithe cost of construction of said sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and all

necessary manholes, inte_kes, sewers, catch basins and driveways, shall be
paid for by the abutting property owners, on both sides 'thereof, except that
:portion to be paid for by the City of Paducah,as required by law; and,
7,1HERLAS, pursuant to said Ordinance, a contract was entered into

by and betwee, Reynolds Brothers, Contractors, of Paducah, Kentucky, and
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the construction thereof; and,

77H?'RAS, said contract has been completed, in all respects, and
the 'nark thereof finished and accepted by the Board of Commissioners of
`. the City of Iaducah, Kentucky, on the 25th day of November, 1921, pursuant
to the recommendation made therefor by the Commissioner of Public Affairs,
and the Engineer's estimate of the cost thereof having been confirmed; now,
therefore;

That all of the property on both sides of North Kinth Street, from
Ilthe gutter line on the North side of Madison Street to the property line on
the South side of Clay Street; and also on the '.lest side of i;orth :'inth
Street, from the Ilorthj
property line of Clay Street to the South property
line of Trimble Street, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and the same

is hereby assessed the sum of 9x1.£3275 per abutting foot, for the cost of
,construction of said sidewalks, curbs, Mutters, manholes, intakes, sewers,
'catch basins and driveways.

SECTION 2.
l' That 211 of the funds derived from the assesment of said
prop er ty
aforesaid, shall be used for the purpose of pa,yini, off the special tax bills

issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the City'
of Paducah, pursuant to Section 3101 of the Yentucky Statutes.
FECTION 3.
i
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Y.entucky Statutes, said
assessirents may be, at the option of the property o;7ners, payable in
cash within thirty (30) days from the publication of this Ordinance, or
in ten annual installments, as provided in said Section.
SECTIOI? 4,
In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment of the
cost of that portion of the said ascossment .ihidh may be paid on the
Ten Year Payment Plan, the City of Paducah may issue and sell improve-
ment bonds, and, to secure the payment of said bonds, there is hereby
pledged such taxes and liens on the property ^ssessed herein for the
payment of the principal and interest, but such bonds shall not be sold
for less than par and the proceeds thereof applied exclusively in pay-
ment of the improvements hereinbefore mentioned, and such bonds, if
issued, shall bear interest, and shall be payable in accordance with the
provisions of Sections 3101 and 3102 of the Y.entuclW Statutes.
SECTION 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force after its
passage, record and publication.
