"1HEREAS, in accordance with saie Oreinarze it was provided that the!
cost of'corstruction of said sidewalks, curbs ane gutters, ane all necessary
manholes, intakes, sewers, catch basins ane r'riveways, shall be paid for
by the abutting ?roperty owners on both sines thereof, except that portion
to be pair' for.by the City of Par?ucah, as required by law; and

by and between Eaker & Storrie, contractors, of Paeucah, 'Kentucky, and the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the construction thereof; and

the Engineers estimate pf the cost t}-Breof having been confirmed.
Now, Therefore:

SECTION 1.
That all of the property on both siees of Bernheim P.venue, from the
nest side of North Twelfth Street, to the East sir'e of Thirteenth Street,
at the intersection of Burnett Street, in0lueing all intersections in the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, be and the same is hereby assessed the sum of
;2.025, per abutting fo t, for the cost of construction of said sidewalks,
curbs, gutters, manholes, intakes, sewers, catch basins and erivevaays.

SECTION 2.
That all of the .funds derived from the assessment of said prop-
erty aforesaid shall be used for the purpose of i ayin�" off the spe lii
tax bills issued against said pr;perty or such bonds as may be issued by
the City of Paducah, pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes.
SECTION 3.
I
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Yentuck7r Statiutes, s2.id asse05-
ments may be - at the option :f the property o-rmers, payab le in cash
within thirty clays from the publication of this or'inance or in ten annual
installments as provided in said section.
SECTION 4.
In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment of the cost of
that portion of the said assessment which may be pain on the ten year
payment plan, the 6ity of PaAucah may issue and sell improvement bonds,
and to secure the payment of said bonds, there is hereby.pledged such
taxes an,' liens on the property assessed herein for the payment of t --:e
principal and interest, but such bends shall not be sold for less than
par and the proceeds thereof a;plied e_clusively in payment of the im-
provements hereinbefore mentioned, and such bonds, if issued, shall bear
interest and shall be payable in accordance with the provisions of Secti r
3101 and 3102of the Lentucky Statutes.
SECTION 5.
_•'his ordinance shall take effect and be in force after its passage
record and publication.
