Kentucky, has heretofore, to -wit: on the 11th day of April, 1921, adopted
I'an ordinance entitled, "AN O:MINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
TITEE nRIVEIVAYS ON TENTH, ELEVENTH, T-17ELFTH, THIRTEENT', FOURTEENTH AND SIX-
TEENTH STREETS, FROM THE NORTH PROPER'T'Y LINE OF BROADVIAY TO THE, SOUTH
;PROPERTY LINE OF JEFFERSON STREET, IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AT
-THE COST OF THE ABUTTING PROPERTY O"'ITERS, :ITP PROVIDED THAT SALT, ILLY BE
CONSTRUCTED UPON THE TEN YEAR PAYLIENT PL1.I1."
WHEREAS, in accordance with said ordinance, it was provide,' that
the cost of the construction of said street 'be pain for by the abutting
property owners,on both sides thereof, except that portion to be paid for
byvthe City of Paducah,.Y.entucky. as required by law; and
;7HMEAS, pursuant to said ordinance a contract was entered into on
the 10th day of may 1921, by and between Eaker and Storrie, Contractors,
of PaPucah, Kentucky and the City of Paducah, for the construction tnereof;'
and,
ME'REAS, said contract has been completed, in aii respects and the
work thereof finished and accepted by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, on tae 22nn day o:L August, 1921, pursuant to
ti!e recommendation made t:e-refor oy the Commissioner o= -ublic Affairs, of
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and pursuant to a motion made oy said Com-
. !
missioner, which motion was duiy carried, TIO,?, THEREFORE,

KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That all of the property on both sides, of Tenth, Eleventh, T-,elfth,'
Thirteenth,'r'oucte'&i 'and Sixteenth Streets, from the north property line
of Broadway to the South property line of Je_.._erson Street, in the City
of Paaucah, Kentucky, be and the same are hereby assessed for the cost of
construction of said streets for paving same with concrete as follows,i:o-wit:
" On Tenth 'treet, the stun of X2.1222 per abutting foot.
On Eleventh Street, the sum of 14.1050, per abutting foot.
On Twelfth Street, the sum of '73.8211, per abutting foot.
On Thirteenth Street, the sum of X3.8732, per abutting foot.
On Vourteenth Street, the sum of 1.8538, per abutting- foot, and
On Sixteenth Street, the sum of 3.2021, per abutting foot.,,

As shown by the Engineer's estimate which is on rile in his office, which

bECTION 2.
That all of the funds derived from the assessment oa said property
ii iaforesaid shall be used for the purpose of paying off the Special Tax bills
issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the City
''of raducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes.
SECT I011 3.
That pursuant to Section 3101 of the-entucicy Statutes, as amended
and re-enacted by an Act oft,the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of

3096,3097,3098,3099, 3100 and 3101 OF THE KENTUCKY STATUTES RELATING TO
THE CONTROL AND I&IPROVEMENT OF STREETS, PUBLIC 1AYS, IJ NDINGS, WHARVES,
GROUNDS _,PID SIDEWALKS IN CITIES OF THE SECOND CLASS," said assessments
may be - at the option of the property owners - payable in cash within
thirty (30) days from the riate of the passage and recording of this
Ordinance, or in ten (10) annual installments, pursuant to the provisiox
of said Statute.
SECTION 4.
In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment of the cost
of that portion of the special assessments herein provided for, which
may be paid ibn the IIISTALLI[ENT-PAYIe!Ei,T-PLAN, as herein provirled for, the
City of Paducah may issue and sell Improvement Bonds, and to secure the

payment of which bonds,. there is'hereby pledged such taxes and liens on
the property assessed herein for the payment of the principal and interest
on such bonils, but such bonds shall not be sold for less than par, and
the proceeds thereof applied exclusively to payment for the improvement
of said street as hereinbefore mentioned, and such bonds, if issued,shalT

bear interest and shall be payable in accordance with the provisions of
Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, as amended and re-enacted by the
General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky of 1910, and contained
in said Act hereinbefore mentioned.
SECTION 5.
This Ordinance shall ake effect and be in force from and after
its passatge,.record and publication.
