TO THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF COM1AISSiO;' :RS Ili TEE CITY OF
PADUCAH, ICNTUCKY:
WHEREAS on Monday 1,lay 23rd, 1921, the Board of Commissioners of
the City of Paducah, passed an ordinance amending an ordinance granting
to the Paducah & Illinois Railroad Company, its successors, assigns, or
lessee.s, the right to construct railroad tracks and other structures in
the City of Paducah, which original ordinance was adopted by the Board
of Commissioners May 29th, 1916;
AND ['RE_REAS in said ordinance of I,aay 23rd, 1921, it is provided
that it shall take effect from and after the passage and publication,
and on the acceptance, in writing, of the terms thereof by the Paducah
& Illinois Railroad Company, on or before the first day of June, 1921,
which acceptance shall be addressed to the i_ayor and Board of Commis-
sioners of the City of Paducah and shall state that the said Railroad
,Company accepts the terms and conditions of this amended ordinance.
NOW the Paducah & Illinois Railroad Company acting by and
through its Vice -President, W. R. Cole, does hereby notify the 1;iayor and
Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah that it does accept the
terms and conditions of the ordinance passed b-,. the Board of Commission-
ers of the City of Paducah on the 23rd day of May 1921, amending the ora
nance passed by the Board of Commissioners of said City on the 29th day
of May, 1916.
Witness the hand of the Paducah & Illinois Railroad Company by
iv. R. Cole, its Vice -President, and attested by T; A. Clarkson, its
Secretary, on this May 26th, 1921.
